I looked at choices for hours, and landed on this beauty. The pictures don't do it justice, it looks like stained glass in person. It is all plastic, but feels thick and sturdy, but is also lightweight. It sits on top of our artificial tree easily, and straight. It comes with one of those standard green plastic cones to mount it, and a couple spare bulbs. When it arrived, one of the colored triangles had come loose in the box from shipping, but it wasnt damaged at all, and it is an easy fix. The triangles are all press fit in and not glued, so i just put the inner part in place , then snapped the outer point down into the frame. This will make it easy to take apart if you ever needed to replace a bulb, or if you wanted to upgrade to a 10 light led string in it. It only has about a 2 foot long cord, so you will need either a small extension cord, or it will plug into your standard light strings if they have the plugs at the end of their string. We have a 7-1/2 foot tree, and 8 foot ceilings, and the star fits perfectly, about 2 inches below the ceiling. You won't be disappointed at this price. ... show more

I purchased a new tree topper for Christmas 2022. It was okay, but I knew that it wasn't what I was looking for. I wanted something more vintage looking. I saw this one and took a chance. It is absolutely beautiful. The inner light is bright and it brings out the colors of the stars very nicely. It seems to be very sturdy. The star looks very nice with colored lights. It's the perfect size for my 4ft tree. It seems to be well made, but it is very heavy and I had to wire it to the top of the tree. I will be buying the white one next year to go with my white lights.

It is very pretty on the tree. The bottom cup is a bit fragile and kind of useless to help it go on a big tree, but I think they all come that way. I just took it off and angled one of the star points into the top of the tree, and that worked out fine.

When I opened the package, I noticed something like "Guaranteed to light". That made me worry right away. So I plugged it in and sure enough, it didn't work. So I looked a little closer at the plug end and saw there were fuses in there, but it didn't seem to be pushed together. So I pushed the plug pieces together and tried again. Still didn't light. Then I thought I should check those fuses. I couldn't figure out how to get it apart again. Of course, there were no instructions about the fuses. I tried to pry the pieces are part and broke the plug. Kit and caboodle got tossed in the trash. ... show more

I purchased this tree topper bc it looked similar to one my grandmother had when I was a child. It was so beautiful. It was easy to put on the top of the tree. It stayed very well.
