These are terrible! I really needed them but hate using them. The plastic ends come off so easily. Always while washing but im scared they’ll come off while im frying something and i’ll get burned.

These things are great. They replace a set that were completely useless because the shafts were of the same material as the gripping ends, so they bent easily. As a consequence, they were no good for picking up anything heavier than a French fry. These are steel down to the tip. Would definitely buy again and the price is incredible. The only improvement I'd suggest is some way to keep them closed when not in use. Not a big deal. Update: They have a perfect way to keep them closed when not in use -- just pull on the ring. Needed a set of tongs to use with a Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker and Air fryer. The fact that these tongs won’t scratch the inner surface due to the non-stick silicone tips make it plus. The locking mechanism used to lift items safely from the cooker is an added feature that helps to seal the deal. The temp tested tongs maximum temp it can withstand is 480 degrees. These tongs lock and unlock easily, they feel nice in the hand, and great heat resistance. However, the entire family was disappointed when we realized that the soft tips means you can’t clack them together before picking something up. Clacking tongs is a beloved ritual in our house, so I am disappointed that I didn’t think about this before choosing these tongs. I feel like these are like chips, one is not enough! I use them all the time and have about 5 of them, they are always in the dishwasher when I need them so I ordered 2 more to last between running the dishwasher.
