  • Very much better than it should be at this price.
Model: H32S17
I bought this 1440p 32” curved 165hz model to replace my 1080p LG game gear 27” that died suddenly after a disappointingly short 3 years. I paid $100 more for the LG and this kTC is superior in every way except one very small detail: the stand only tilts, there’s no height, or rotation adjustment, (neither monitor would swivel), but it does support VESA mounting so you could remedy that for a bit of extra investment. It even came with nice stand-off screws to make sure clearance with VESA mounting wouldn’t be a problem. The stand it comes with isn’t bad though. It’s solid metal, probably aluminum, but also feels just a bit light compared to the screen itself. It’s enough to get the job done though and has rubber anti-skid pads that keep it from moving around. Even though this is a VA type LCD, the colors are great. They’re at least as good as the color performance on my LG monitor which was IPS. Blacks and contrast are superior on the KTC in HDR mode. Ghosting is better than the LG. It’s s a noticeably easier to see details in textures and objects in motion even with FSR3 and frame generation on, and there’s very very little perceptible blur. Pixel density seems sharper to me on the KTC. I expected that since I going from 27” 1080 to 32” 1440, the pixel density would work out to be about the same, but it’s better than I expected. As some others have pointed out: if you’re not using display port you’re missing out on features. Variable Refresh Rate doesn’t work on HDMI (even though it should, I think), and you cannot reach 165hz refresh. Mine was limited to 120 but ymmv. In display port mode, everything works as advertised for me. Also of note, HDR does work fairly well on this panel, at least in the one that I received. I’ve noticed very sharp colors and contrast in HDR mode but one thing you HAVE to do is set HDR to “Auto” in the monitors OSD settings. If you leave HDR set to “off” and try to enable your HDR option in windows or games it totally ruins the colors and contrast. The only down side is that according to windows display options, the advertised peak brightness of the panel 301 nits (oddly specific, I thought), which isn’t HDR10, but I personally still prefer it in HDR over standard. The HDR quality on my LG monitor doesn’t even compare to this one. Keep in mind that my 5-star rating is relative to its price to performance ratio. This screen isn’t going to compete with OLED or maybe even micro-LED, but at this price it seems to me to be as good as it gets. One slight discrepancy in the description is that the listing on Amazon said the screen has a glossy finish, but the finish on mine is just as flat and anti-glare as any other screen I’ve used. ... show more

  • Great value
Model: H32S17
Huge screen, very immersive! I sit at a desk while gaming on PS5 and this works great. In fact I have to sit at least 2 feet away to avoid getting motion sick. No built-in speakers, but you’ll want headphones anyway. I know very little about screens so I’m sure there are good reasons to spend hundreds more on a fancier brand. But to my eye, the image quality here is terrific. 1440p HDR on a 32 inch screen for $200 - hard to beat that value. ... show more

  • Great So Far
Model: H32S17
Although it's only been a few days with my KTC monitor, I have to say that, so far, I am incredibly impressed. My prior daily driver was a fairly high end 1080p monitor ( 32", the same size as this KTC ) and I had grown used to a number of issues such as light bleed and blurring and ghosting in games. This monitor has been a night and day difference. I use an all black background as wallpaper and cannot see any light bleed on the screen. The blacks are deep and full. The colors, vibrant. Text and icons do not appear noticeably pixelated to me. Games appear crisp even in situations with a lot of rapid motion or movement. While I imagine an OLED screen would be even more impressive to me, this monitor is a definite step up from what I am accustomed to and I have no qualms recommending this monitor and brand, especially given the price, to those who place a premium upon value for money and bang for the buck. It's a very nice, sturdy, well built, highly performative monitor. ... show more

  • No-fills curved monitor that is great for gaming
Model: H32S17
I am a gamer, but my needs are relatively simple. If I am not comparing one screen to another side-by-side, subtle differences in brightness, color reproduction, and other monitor attributes are lost on me. I do not need a monitor with speakers (as built-in speakers are usually horrible anyway), I do not need a USB hub, and even multiple inputs are meaningless for me (even though this monitor does have several). Simply stated, after using this monitor, it does everything I need. The picture looks great. I do not have any issues with ghosting, stuttering, or other visual artifacts. The curved screen with the matte finish is nice. The size is also expansive and much better than a smaller monitor for those of us with less-than-perfect vision. The price was also in a good range for the features. I did not use the stand and, instead, used a VESA mount on my desk, which worked like a champ with this monitor. The only thing that may have been nice to see in this monitor is a USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 port for video and return-charging of a connected laptop. Still... For my specific purpose, I have no complaints with this monitor and would purchase it again. ... show more
