Makes very hot coffee like more expensive machines is what I like but will have to wait for second cup for a few minutes for machine to cool down. First before filling put cup under, second notice hole in back if overfilled will go all over your counter. So I simply took a inexpensive plastic cup and marked with a permanent marker level on cup that fills coffee pot without overfilling to leave as a guide for every morning pour. Manufacturer,Want to improve product, include a measuring cup. Makes great hot tasting coffee. Cost a lot of money for most coffee pots to brew truly hot coffee that extracts flavors well. For example zojirushi and oxo and others. Take precautions to keep out of reach of kids and caution. Delicious hot coffee that doesn’t get cold when you add real cream. Try using a tablespoon scoop or if you like it strong, a tablespoon and a half or two according to your liking. This is NOT a coffee on demand machine like a kurig. It is not made to make another cup of coffee instantaneously, the reason being is because it heats your coffee up to a nice high temp and it needs to cool down for a few minutes so it will not turn on right away after making one cup. Me and my significant other wake up at different times so it doesn’t matter or if we wake up together, one waits a few minutes. So if you want a good hot steaming cup of coffee and not worried about rushing it. This is the coffee cup for you. However, when you hit the start button, it makes a pretty instant cup of hot coffee for you, it is just not made to be used instantly after first cup, as it has to cool down some. I use one of my own Stanley stainless steel mugs I own and have not used mug it came with. So use a stainless steel mug or ceramic, instead of the metallic one it comes with for good flavor.     • Great coffee fast, stays hot a good while

I've had this coffee maker for three weeks now and it's working great. i like that it brews the cup fast so that in just a couple minutes you have it ready to go, and you can make another if you feel like it--instead of wasting half a pot that you can't finish. The one very small complaint I have is that the top of the cup has a little sliding tab that opens and closes for drinking. when you slide it open, it make a little click, and with that click comes a little spatter of coffee, whether the cup is full or nearly empty. So you end up with little coffee splatter stains on your clothes, until you learn your lesson and open that little tab at arm's length. Design tweak required here. ... show more

6.5/10 Pros: It's compact It has a reusable filter for coffee grounds (Eco-friendly!) The filter is easy to clean One button Relatively fast on making coffee Comes with a coffee tumbler thing Coffee tumbler keeps coffee relatively hot for about an hour Cons: It can only hold 12oz of water. (be careful how much you put in there or it will leak out from the back) The bottom cup holder is not removable It does drip after turning it off (don't really mind as I put a little bowl in the cup holder to catch the drip) If you want to make a cup of coffee measure out the water first and don't keep it preloaded in there Making multiple cups of coffee is kind of a pain Makes a scary sound when opening up the to add more water after the first cup The coffee tumbler thing kind of has a metallic taste to it Have to hold down the start button till it makes heating up sound I can see older people struggling to put water in there as it is kind of hard to see and you can miss easily. I am always in a rush in the morning so I do like how it only takes a couple of mins to make a cup of coffee. It's a good starter coffee maker for people who have never used one before and/or have limited counter space. Just be careful making more than one cup of coffee. When I made multiple cups of coffee I thought I broke it because the start button was not doing anything. You definitely get what you paid for which is not necessarily a bad thing. Once this breaks down (which it eventually will) ill invest in a better compact coffee maker with more buttons indicating how much coffee I want. ... show more

    • Potential fire danger!!

Over many years I've used KRUPS machines. They were of high quality. They performed well right out of the box. Not so with this unit. I just received it. Before running a brew of coffee thru it I ran 14 oz. of distilled water thru it to clean it and time its performance.( glad I did!) With water in the tank I pushed the "One Touch" power button, water boiled and filled my mug- lapsed time: 3:45 or 3 minutes,45 seconds. .. then the fire danger showed up.( I've done enough DIY appliance repairs to know the 'signs'.) This one-touch operation the manufacturer speaks of, on this machine, failed ! The power stayed on. The "one-touch" power button stayed lit. The heating coil remained on. I waited 3 more minutes then manually shut off the machine The case was heating up! With the water gone there was no place for the coil to dissipate it's energy - heat.These cheaply made plastic appliances forced on us melt quickly often causing a short circuit on their way to melting the case and providing a potential fire! With this in mind be sure, user, your outlet is on a breaker or fused.Perhaps the manufacturer should offer a fire insurance policy as well! ... show more

I like this coffee maker because it is easy to use; just add the coffee and press the button. My disappointment is the water compartment. There is no measurement indicator - for 5, 8 or 10mls for example. And I cannot see in the compartment well because it is all black so I once poured too much water and cause it to overflow. I also need to bring the machine directly under a counter light so I can see how much water I am using. I find there is an after use drip, even if I leave my cup for a good 1 minute after the brewing ends. So I am always wiping the area around the machine.
