I have used this baking dish for about two months. It is well-coated ceramic and quickly became our go-to pan for just about anything that can be cooked in a 13"x9". We have two other 13x9's (metal and clay) but prefer this one. I did buy a nylon knife to avoid scratching the surface, but I found with serving meat from this dish, I have to use a regular knife anyway. So far it has not scratched. I don't think it is meant to go under the broiler, but I would have to double-check that. The color is very pretty and it is rather heavy/substantial. We roasted veggies in it and it ended up with a lot of burnt matter stuck on. We think it was because coconut oil was used instead of our regular olive oil. My ingenious husband restored the pan's pristine appearance with a lot of scrubbing, using a mixture of laundry soap and tub cleaner gel when nothing else would work. I hand-washed then ran it through the dishwasher, as usual, and it seems fine again. It has been through the dishwasher (pre-rinsed) after each use and that works great. The handles are integral to the pan and are very useful and big enough to grab with an oven mitt. I slightly hesitate to recommend after only a short time of using it, but so far, so very good. Update December 2023: I still love this baking dish! I think I may have posted another review somewhere in the 1,125 now listed. As a summary of that one, after I wrote my original review, I thoughtlessly put tap water in the dish while it was baking in the oven. I can do that with my aluminum pan. The heat difference caused the pan to spiderweb-crack but not all the way through. This dish is a work horse! It lasted two more years with frequent usage until finally the internal cracks started to leak a little for a total usage of 4 years. Before I took the chance of something worse happening with food in it, I bought a replacement. The replacement is just as reliable and wonderful as the first! and hopefully I'll be more careful this time: put water in Before it goes in the oven. I have used this 9x13 baking dish several times for roasting and baking and everything turned out great! It is also very easy to clean. It reminds me of an old emile Henry that I used to have.

I love this cookware. I bought it specifically to use for cooking at high heat (above 400) after I messed up a pan by using it at 450 for an hour. I bought this one with a specific eye to high heat. I was cooking some fresh sausage patties to freeze, and the pan looked SO GROSS afterward, I wondered how long I would be scrubbing to get it clean. I soaked it for an hour or so, and I don't even know if I needed to to do that, because it was effortless to wipe it clean. We bought this when we accidentally broke a far more expensive Le Creuset baking dish and needed a replacement fast. Have been using this dish regularly for a couple of months and have been very pleased with it and how well it cleans! Save your money and opt for this.

    • I really love this, but watch out for warping.

I love this baking dish. The color is nice and vibrant and the dish is honestly very pretty to look at. That's an odd thing to say about a cooking dish, I know. But, it's true. The dish is heavy and seems solid to me. But, there's an odd issue with it that caused me to give this a 4-star review instead of a 5-star review. The first one of these to show up was warped. I don't know how else to describe it. If you're familiar with lumber at all, the dish was twisted. Literally, twisted. This was confirmed visually by placing the dish on a flat surface and staring down the sides. One set of corners did not line up with the others. Additionally, the whole thing wobbled when placed on a flat surface. It was not a little wobble either. It was easily 1/8 of an inch. Because I liked the dish overall, I exchanged the dish for a replacement from Amazon. The replacement dish did not have a warp/twist but does still wobble just a little bit. This wobble was minor, though, and not worth asking for another exchange. This dish would easily be a 5-star dish. If quality control were better and they could figure out the warping/wobbling, this dish would deserve to be placed in a department store. But, the warping and wobbling are a major strike. Lastly, I would note that I recently ordered a smaller set of 3 dishes in this same style from the same manufacturer. Again, I'm having to exchange the dishes due to the twist/wobble. So, it appears this is an issue with this manufacturer and not just a one-off scenario. ... show more

I purchased this dish almost exactly 3 years ago, and was using it at least once a week. Recently I noticed it’s developing a crack, which was most likely my fault, I was hurrying up to soak the dish in water, without letting it cool first. That might be the reason. I did not read the description carefully, and I have seen glass bakeware like this, so I thought I was buying glass. I was very pleasantly surprised when I unwrapped this beautiful ceramic baking dish. I have not used it yet, but I am looking forward to it. It was very safely packaged.
