  • Great product
Style: Circular Saw Guide
It's lightweight and cuts accurately, what more could one ask for? Having alot of fun with it after 2 or so weeks of use.

  • Pretty great
Style: Circular Saw Guide
As another reviewer stated the set screws to attach the guide to circular saw is kind of not cool because the thing is plastic. I wish they had like shoes on them kind of like a c clamp if you know what I mean. The other issue is again the plastic but this time it's for the guide for the wood. Where you bolt the aluminum track it goes into plastic. When you put the screw in you make the threads. This is a common design and is fine for something that's permanent but if you need to switch from right handed to left handed cuts you have to unscrew and screw it again. From experience I can tell you that won't last forever. Also the clamp for the size setting is plastic as well. I've only used it a few times so it's fine but if it breaks or something happens I will update this review. For the money though it's pretty good nice for straight rips. The biggest issue with quality, nothing to do with it this time, is the fact that everything i work on isn't straight. This making such straight cuts it makes it painfully obvious how out of square my garage is. ... show more

  • Awesome for the price point.
Style: Circular Saw Guide
Once set up it makes extremely accurate cuts. The plastic is a little flimsy and is not up to a lot of abuse. Handled gently, should last a long time. I was getting less than 1/64" variation on ripping LP siding and OSB sheeting. Removing and re installing the circular saw for me, did not require recalibration. Saw hold down clamps do not need a gazillion pounds of torque since most of your concentration should be on the edge guide. Hand on the saw is only there for the trigger and a push. Table saw results....love this thing! ... show more

  • Perfect tool to use to cut down 4 x 8 sheet of plywood
Style: Circular Saw Guide
This tool worked well for me. I needed to cut a large 4 x 8 sheet of 3/4 plywood. I was able to make cuts on the large sheet easy. The lines were straight and smooth, as compared to me doing it free hand. Good tool for large sheets of plywood when you don't have a large table saw.

  • My new favorite tool
Style: Circular Saw Guide
My wife bought an ikea closet system which ended up being a couple of inches too tall for our closet. Instead of lugging 900 lbs worth of ikea boxes back down the stairs, returning them for a shorter version, and then lugging those up the stairs, I elected to try and shorten the closet system. I had bought the rip cut a year prior with no specific use case in mind; suddenly I had one. Being new to the tool, I watched some videos on set up and took my time as I needed precise cuts. It maybe took me 15 min initially. Each subsequent cut was as fast as I could run the saw, the rip cut held it’s exact position each time. After each cut I would pick up the scrap I had just shaved and compare it to all of the others- consistent dimensions every time. This tool was an absolute lifesaver. You could argue that a table saw could make this tool obsolete, however, when cutting long pieces from the bottom, running my circular saw with the rip cut on my sawhorses was even easier and, in my opinion, safer. The tool is dominantly plastic, but if treated with care I could see this lasting a long time. This tool will save me from buying a table saw for quite some time and was definitely worth a purchase. ... show more

  • Cheesy saw attachment
Style: Circular Saw Guide
The saw attachment is downright cheesy. Most saws these days have some kind of plastic base. Using these set screws on plastic is a sure fire way to break it. The point loading is just too much to expect the base of an expensive saw like my Makita Track / Plunge saw to hold up to the stress. This device needs to have a clamping strip to distribute the load much better and more evenly. As it is, it is just about like driving a nail into your saw base. If it breaks my saw base I'm going to be really really angry. What is more, these little metal strips that hold the set screws are cantilevered and screwed into the plastic guide base. Just how long does anyone expect the threads in the attachment point to last? I don't expect very long under enough clamping force to hold the saw firmly to the base. For this price for a hunk of plastic and some aluminum Kreg should do a whole lot better. Had I been aware of the attachment design I would not have bought this in the first place and would not buy it again or recommend anyone else buy it. ... show more
