I had previously ordered a different brand of sink listed as 16 gauge, but around 33% cheaper. You get what you pay for. The cheaper one was 19 gauge at most, nowhere close to the advertised 16 gauge. You could bend the corners easily by hand. The cutting board that came with that one was heavier than the sink itself. I returned it, and got this Kraus sink instead. It is very solid, definitely 16 gauge, and it's very nice. The drain assembly installed very easily without need for any caulk or putty, and no need for a drain tool. I am happy I returned the other one and opted for higher quality. Note that the 21X19 is a single bowl (which I wanted) like the image, not a double bowl as it says in the title. ... show more

This is like having a commercial sink in my kitchen. This is worth the splurge. It's beautiful. Heavyweight. Comes with a grate for the bottom so the sink doesn't get scratched. Also included is a fold-out dish drying rack that I use to drip dry the dogs' bowls before I put them back down on the new "spillproof" laminate flooring (that I hope I don't regret installing). I haven't used the cutting board yet but it is heavy and beautiful. One thing I learned: if you are having new countertops installed.....the sink goes with the fabricators to their shop. They have to make sure the quartz/granite, etc is cut correctly to include the lip that holds the drying mat and the cutting board. Highly recommend. ... show more

This sink is beautiful. The stainless steel is thick and stands up to everyday use. The cutting board is bamboo and very useful. The deep single bowl design means cleaning large pans pots is easier. My wife doesn't like it, but I 'won' out with 'the person doing the cleaning...' I still like the fact that I can fit pans in the sink while I clean them. Tips: Keep the sink clean and don't let water stand in it for prolonged time if you have hard water. Clean with vinegar to remove any calcium or lime built up from the corners. Use stainless steel cleaner and polish for that just installed look. Even after a year. Cutting board: It is well made, bamboo and very used in my kitchen. Treat with a food grade wood wax and your good to go. Reapply the wax every month or so based on your usage and preferences. I use a bees wax for all my cutting boards. Cons: The sink has a curve in the corners that make cleaning easier however not all transitions were considered for that. The result is cleaning required a brush to get into the 90° corners, I use a modified firm toothbrush for this. The cutting board has a fluid channel that runs the perimeter and a drain to allow liquid to disperse from the board. Make sure that the channel and drain are waxed as well. Doing so will seal the exposed end grain that will wick fluid and cause headaches later if not addressed. Scratches in the sink are not eliminated but reduced greatly by the basin bottom rack. It is stainless steel and very sturdy. It functions well and provides adequate protection for the bottom of the sink. Con: it needs cleaning after each use. Doing so will prevent oder from trapped food or just clinging food. A quick brush with a cleansing brush and you will fine. Once a month fill the sink to just over the top of the rack and toss in a cup of vinegar. Let that sit for an hour and then your back to that new rack luster. Over all the Kraus line is fantastic. This is our second Kraus sink. Our first was bought to sell our old house, this one for our new home with a complete rework of the kitchen. Installation : I installed our first Kraus sink in our old house. The process was a replacementfor an undermount. The old sink was very stubborn and took some convincing. Let's just say the swear jar filled up. The install was a lot easier. This new sink install was a breeze. I had no difficulty with letting the countertop company install undermounted to granite.. I know this review was long, I thank you for the time you spent reading it. I hope this helps in your decision. ... show more

Loves the sink itself. The work Station looks great and is very handy. Great to have to give my very young grandchildren a bath as well. The only downfall was the plastic strainer kit that comes with it. We hired a Plummer to install it and he would not put the plastic strainer kit in it. He went to the store and came back with a stainless one. He said the plastic one would leak sooner than later and he wouldn’t install it. Other than that it looks great. Make sure to put the grate in the bottom quickly because the bottom scratches fairly easy. But overall I loved the sink. ... show more

This is a great sink for the $. The look is superb, the functionality is amazing and the sound proofing is top notch. Last first. I’m blown away how quiet it is. The sink is lined with a noise damping material that is awesome. I installed my existing garbage disposal on this sink (if it ain’t broke…) it is so much quieter than it was in the last set up, t’s not possible to put into words. The functionality is great. The drying rack and cutting board are so awesome. They fit like a glove and work wonderfully. It drains to the drain well aka, pitch perfect. Now for why 4 stars. The removable rack that lines the bottom of the sink is a perfect touch for setting items in the sink pre wash. BUT, if you have any food in said dishes larger than the grate or lettuce, it hangs up on the grate. So think of what’s you can store this item close to the sink… yes I’m splitting hairs. Would I buy it again? Yes. Do I love it? Yes. If the bottom rack rolled up like the top strainer does would it be 5 stars? Yes. ... show more
