My son is in a phase where he wants to build things, not trusting him with power tools yet, I purchased this set for him and he loved it. It was generally appropriate for a toddler to assemble under supervision - only screws to assemble. Problems: Extremely weak glue joints separated immediately (on flatbed and on Jeep windshield); we resolved with short brad nails; a factory brad through these joints would resolve One piece mis-drilled / wrong part provided (two sides, should have been drilled with opposite pattern); net, had to put on from wrong side. Drawing slightly wrong for bottom of Jeep (hole pattern in drawing inconsistent with actual parts, but parts mutually compatible) ... show more

Well designed but will require adult help to orient construction. Good thing the parts can easily be removed and be rebuilt. Instructions are visual. All pilot holes are correct and in the right place. The wheels may need an adult to install. A larger screw driver will be needed.

    • Jeep is messed up
The jeep's bumpers were made backwards one was meant to have two holes it only had one the other was meant to have one whole it had two the bigger screws for the jeep’s wheels are also not self-tapping the rest of the screws are and the jeep was also off on it’s measurements so it doesn’t go together like it’s meant to the big rig went together perfectly after painting it does get a little bit tight but that’s fine and the bird house was also okay the small bags of screws that came inside the projects bags were missing some for the jeep but they gave us an extra bag of small screws it was fun for a couple hours I can’t talk about age range it was a project that I put together with another adult but we had a lot of fun doing it until we realized how messed up the jeep was she had to choose between making her own screw holes (which she did because she’s stubborn) or putting it together backwards ... show more
