I bought these gauges with one main purpose- to install two mini splits into my home. I planned on taking the pump and gauges to work afterwards, as I am an automotive technician. The whole kit comes in a box and has a small carrying bag. The bag won’t hold the gauges with the lines attached- it all had to be separated. The gauges were zero’d out when they arrived, so no adjustment needed. The kit comes with enough oil to fill the pump once, not enough to fill it twice. Not a big deal, parts stores have vacuum pump oil readily available. I installed the gauges to the vacuum pump, attached the adapter and attached the whole setup to the first mini splits. The gauges feel surprisingly good for this price range, the vacuum pump is heavier than expected (in a good way). I flipped the switch for the pump and it came to life… making almost no noise. The pump is surprisingly quiet, so much so that I had to inspect the gauges to see if the pump was working. Much to my surprise, it had already pulled 25 inches of vacuum. I ran the pump for 2 minutes, and it worked flawlessly. All sounds good, right? So, why the 4 stars instead of 5? Well, I went to shut off the pump and disconnect the gauges from it, and the whole system lost vacuum. I pulled vacuum again, double checked I had the knob turned all the way in to seal the gauges… still lost vacuum. The low side knob does NOT completely seal the system. Not a huge deal- leave the gauges attached to the vacuum pump and call it good. The problem arises when you release some refrigerant to check for Leaks- it will flow right through the gauge and lines, and leak into atmosphere. I pulled a 30 minute vacuum and monitored it for 15 minutes. No leaks, so I disconnected the gauges and released the refrigerant into the system. It’s been two weeks and so far, so good. The gauges get 4 stars, the pump gets a solid 5. The seller gets 5 stars as well, because shipping was fast and it’s a good product. ... show more

2005 F150 had valve cores leaking. The seals had gotten brittle and shrink over time. Used this vacuum pump kit to vacuum the system after replacing cores. Pump and gauges worked well. Only issue I had is the kit does not come with the valve for self sealing cans. I ended up damaged one of my first refrigerant cans. Had to get a separate adapter not in the kit for the new self sealing cans. AC blows cooled again, saved hundreds. ... show more

Good quality, bought this set a year ago and it still runs strong. Had a leak on the can tap in less a year and the customer service is very helpful and will ship a replacement. Highly recommended.

Waited for this patiently in order to finish an automotive repair. Was excited to open it and start using it. Unfortunately the company included 2 low pressure quick disconnect fittings and did not include the high side quick disconnect fitting. Unable to perform a job because of this. Time is money, now I have to wait for a replacement. Called the company and was told I would receive a confirmation email and I have not received it. Ended up ordering a set of quick disconnect connectors for 13.99 from Amazon. Severely disappointed Update / the company ended up sending me a replacement. That was nice, but unfortunately I had to buy the others in order to get the job done. Vacuum pump locked up and would not turn on after only using it for 2 minutes. The company wanted me to send the old one back and they would send me a replacement. Sorry that's not going to work, I bought this unit so I could use it. You need to send me the parts that are not working properly and than I will send the old one back to you. Even if it works intermittently I need to have it on me. I have not sent back my old set, have a feeling I pretty much just wasted money. My suggestion would be to stay away from this company. Buy a yellow jacket gauge manifold set, buy a vacuum pump from a reputable manufacturer. You get what you pay for and in my case, essentially just wasted money. Not a happy customer with this product at all. They had a chance to make me a believer and they let it slip. I didn't mention that also one of my gauges is reading exactly 100 psi less than a reputable gauge. Very disappointed. ... show more
