  • Good for the price
The media could not be loaded. Update: As of yesterday (2/4/2023) the left earhook joint on the other headphone set has developed the same squeak. Given my issues with loud/higher pitched noises, this is going to be a problem. I've edited the media in this review with a video of the sound. The charging plug 'door' has long since broken off of the first set. First off, as a warning: pay attention to the volume settings once it's connected!! I don't know if it's just the ones I've gotten and/or my phone but, no matter what volume it was set to previously or what volume my phone is at, it always connects at almost full volume! I've hurt my ears several times as I was learning this. I bought this as a replacement for the Marathon headset that kept breaking on me and because I needed something I could use on just one ear for migraine issues. The sound is about what you'd expect. Mostly flat, tinny, and with a tendency towards mid and treble. While you can hear the bass, it's mostly an afterthought. I'm an audiophile but it's exceptionally hard to find anything other than this quality at this price if you can't deal with in-ear designs (even those are debatable). I was surprised at the low-end quality since a little research into Koss revealed that it's a decent audio brand. The earpieces hinge like a door so you can make them as tight or loose as you need. They are hard plastic. I haven't had the issues with the ear pads tearing but I haven't had is for that long. One the hinges has started to make a grating plastic on plastic sort of odd screeching noise when moved. Battery life is okay. I use them most of the day and can get away with one charge until evening if I don't take phone calls. I've got a backup if I need it, which I have several times. The 'low battery' sound is loud and obnoxious (it comes through better than the audio). The charger is micro USB, not USB-C. If you love definition when listening, you're not going to get it with this. But it's a good option for casual podcast listening, audiobooks, and the like. The cords seem flimsy (one came with slight bends at the ends of the controls). While there's a sturdier piece bridging into the controls, for whatever reason the company opted to have it go directly in the ear pieces with no reinforcement. The controls are easy enough to use. One button for play/pause/off/on/answer/hang up. Off/on is the only thing that takes a long press and that's indicated by a tone (once again, obnoxious and much louder than the audio). Volume control is a raised '+' and '-' but you do have to press a bit to the inside of those to get it to register. Phone call quality is 'meh.' I usually have to switch to the handset/speakphone to not be muffled or sound like I'm 'down a hallway.' It's the same on my end, especially if the person I'm talking to drops the volume of their voice. If there's ambient noise, it will be heard, and this headset doesn't separate out sounds so hearing a person if their end is picking up sounds is almost impossible. Leaving voicemails with it is not an option. But most of the people I talk to are used to sub-optimal call sound quality (if it's not the headset, it's the location/reception) so it's not a big deal. I only had a little issue connecting it but that could have been my phone. You push down and hold on the middle button (raised dot). It'll come up on your phone and connecting it usually easy at that point. Once you turn it on, it takes a moment to connect (once again, indicated by a super loud noise!). As for using it on just one ear, I turn it into a 'necklace'. This may only work because I have a more slender neck. I'll loop the cord around the back of my neck and hook the unused earhook over the cord. While I have to be careful about the tightness, I've even been able to use it like this bundled up for cold weather walks. ... show more

  • These headphones are just what the Doctor ordered!
I wore the apple iPod pro for years and most of the time in my right ear only when I went to bed because I didn’t want to disturb my husband, who was sleeping. All of a sudden I couldn’t hear well out of my right ear. I never used Qtips. I told my primary doctor and she told me to use Debrox to clean out my ear and I did and then I couldn’t hear at all out of my right ear. I went to the ENT doctor and it felt like he used a drill to clean out my ear and then I heard perfectly again. He told me never to use Apple iPod pro again. What do I do? I remembered my son bought for me as a gift the Koss headphone and they didn’t mess my hair. I went looking for them and found them but to my dismay they were plug ins. I couldn’t use them! I immediately went to Amazon, my go to place for everything, and found them and they were wireless. I bought them and they were wonderful. The ear clip moved and you placed it on the ear with no problem and my husband couldn’t hear a thing, but I could hear him and I was happy about that. I immediately ordered another pair so that I have a spare and I’m considering ordering more as gifts. Don’t hesitate to order them if you need something that you don’t have to stick in your ear and an even better part they work and they’re a lot cheaper! Try them, You won’t be disappointed! ... show more

  • Bad.
Pro: -The sound quality is really good. Cons: -The cover for the charging port snapped off immediately while trying to maneuver it aside to try to charge it- I'm not sure how it's possible to even to get a cord in with it attached. Annoying as hell, but for the price I was willing to deal. -The foam fell off both sides the first time I used them. They would not stay on. I would try using glue but the foam is so thin I know the glue will bleed through. Again, I might be willing to deal with that but I'm pretty sure the foam would just end up ripping if I tried. -I think the worst was how uncomfortable the hinge was. Within 20 minutes they were painful enough I had to take them off. This was the part that made these completely unusable- completely useless to me. They also didn't stay on easily and all I was doing was sitting on the couch and watching YouTube. I was willing to put up with a lot because these were pretty cheap but it wasn't worth it. Save your money on these ones. ... show more

  • great sound, but the fit is not adjustible
I can't get these to stay over my ear openings. If Koss would make their Koss KSC75 Bluetooth-compatible, I would have a pair.

  • Not Worth the Money
I got these headphones because I do not like earbuds, but wanted a small type Bluetooth headphones I could use for work. I like the size of these and they are comfortable enough to wear for work although the design could be a little better for how they connect to the ear. I like that it does not block out all sound because I want to be able to hear others even if I have them on. The Cons: The headphone covers do not stay on, one has already fallen off and is lost and the other I have to constantly put it back on because it is not fastened on well. The major con is that it does not connect to my computer or phone consistently. I have to remove the device and re-add it almost every day and sometimes multiple times a day. If these headphones had been closer to $15 or even $20 I would say they perform adequately enough for that price, but paying closer to $30 for these I expected them to be a little better quality overall. I don't see myself buying another pair unless there are major changes made to the quality. ... show more
