Description

Bassik - simple, clean, easy. This is the foundation of what KnuKonceptz calls Bassik. Easy to install, simple to connect and cost effective! The BK-1024 accepts 0 or 4 gauge in and 4 or 8 gauge power wire out without the use of adapters. Oversized allen screws can secure either gauge without any modification or additional parts to complicate the design. The BK-1024 fuse block has a single oval input which can accommodate either 4 or 1/0 as the main input gauge. Each output is fused by a Mini-ANL style fuse with a max load of 150A per circuit. Your choice of two fuses is included with the BK-1024 Select "Link" to turn your BK-1024 into a two way ground distribution block

Initially received incorrect item but they sent the correct one immediately after contacting them. Very small footprint means this can be mounted in tight spaces. The set screw threads are smooth and do their job without binding up or other unnecessary effort. I had no difficulty inserting bare (& slightly frayed) multi-stranded 1/0 and 4ga cable and the set screws hold them firmly in place. The metal distribution blocks are attached to the plastic mounting plate via screws through the bottom of the plastic plate, and the screw heads are covered with a very thin felt sticker, which is pretty important to prevent the block from potentially grounding out on your mounting surface - I'd recommend double-checking that these are present and intact before installing it and closing the circuit! The plastic mounting plate attaches to your surface by way of (2) small screw holes in the center of the plate (under the fuses). The plastic cover fits very snugly and snaps into place securely, but utilizes the standard plastic locking tabs which will most likely eventually wear out or snap off if you have to remove/reattach the cover very often. The blocks show some signs of the machining process but that does not detract from their functionality in any way, they're just not necessarily a polished 'show piece' - that doesn't matter to me since it's mounted out of sight. While I don't really have any specific complaints about this item, and it does work well, I feel like I might have been better satisfied spending a little bit more for a different/larger block. Note - If you're using gauge reducers, the set screw may not screw in far enough to get the cover back on without some work or replacing the set screw. ... show more

The piece is solid, do be aware on the 150 amp fuse choice, or at least on the one I was shipped, only 1 150 amp fuse is included, for me it's not the end of the world because I have the fuse near my battery and in my amp and can jump over, but be aware of this when purchasing this unit and purchase the additional fuse if you need it. ... show more

My only concern was that it was difficult to properly crimp down the wires because the plastic baseplate would start to flex when I tightened the screws. Ended up having to use pliers to hold the block at the end so I could get a solid crimp on the input and output wires.

So far the block works well. Plastic mounting block is a bit flimsy for the torque needed to crank the fasteners down. Many wiring/ring terminal products on Amazon have gauges that don't match up. And having bought all knukonceptz gear, I Smh finding out hours into the install that the 0awg knu ofc cable needs to be trimmed to fit into the 0awg block. The mini anl fuses had cracked lenses when looking for the fault to my amp, but I found out with a multimeter that both fuses were in tact. Really hard to see any filament link inside the case. ... show more

The screws were surprising easy to work with and allowed me to tighten the wires down securely without damaging the conductor. Useing this as a distribution block for my inverter.
