  • Great price for the mobility it provides!!
Worked perfectly! I am 12 days post op bunion surgery on 1 foot with no pressure for 6 weeks. If not for this scooter I would be extremely limited in what I could do. First, I am 4’11. I had a friend loan me an adult knee scooter to practice before surgery. The knee rest did not adjust down far enough so I immediately ordered this kids knee rover! I think someone up to 5’3 or a petite adult could use this easily. I have hard wood as main floor and carpet in bedrooms. First 7 days I was mostly on crutches and pain medicine but once I was a little more steady I started rolling on carpet to and from. The scooter allows you to get up to the sink, toilet, bed, chair etc with ease and the ability to use both hands. The handle bars are high enough for the crutches to easily slide at the foam handle grip and ride with you if you need to take them also. The knee rover works awesome on hard floor and glides with much ease. You have to work a bit more on carpet. There is a pretty big turning radius so as you steady more and depending on the size of your house you will tend to pick up the front like a real bicycle to turn a smaller radius. The knee pad is comfortable without the additional purchase of the shepra cushion cover although I did get one just in case. The pad without the cover is anti-slip so it keeps you from sliding off. I find the cover is a little slippery and may not continue to use. I did have a little knee pain but adjusted my position and was more comfortable. The cover is made for the adult size so I had to use some safety pins to close the elastic opening to tight. The brakes work well and the convenient lock is a good safety feature. I have only been out of the house to the grocery store 1 time. I am not able to drive so don’t have to worry about that part but even as a passenger you have to get a plan of how you are going to get the scooter in the vehicle. If you have back or knee issues be very careful loading the scooter. Its a bit heavier than I expected. You may need to have your driver do that part. I practiced myself from level ground but I found backing up to curbs when possible is a huge help that allows a shorter distance to lift. It has a release tab on the front to let the handle bars fold but I found it to be very difficult. It is not made to be a quick release tab so it has to lay in the back of my Escape assembled. There is a convenient basket on the front but if you use the mount provided you won’t be able to use the release. I zip tied my basket a little higher in case I wanted to use the release. You can also hang a tote bag from the handle bars to give additional carry storage. Also, a regular purse in not a good idea. It does hang fine on the handle bars. Safety was my concern. It could be grabbed easily. I am not a fan of cross body purses but becoming a minimalist during this time is much less stressful. Great purchase and price for the mobility it provides. ... show more

  • LIFESAVER!
My 6yr old daughter is 3ft 10in tall and broke her ankle. She was too short for crutches and this was a life saver! Comes already assembled, easy to maneuver and great quality. The price is worth it. She actually got so reliant on the scooter she didn’t want to stop using it haha. She loved the pink color and the basket for her favorite stuffy. :) ... show more

  • Awesome and SO needed
Go ahead and buy it, crutches are tiresome and with PT on the horizon after casting, we will use this for weeks to come. This is easy and your child will thank you. We took the basket off, it goes everywhere with us. The seam did split on the cushion edges-I was surprised it happened so soon but so thankful for the functionality and purpose it serves that I won’t complain. I will donate to the high school athletic department when finished. ... show more

  • Good for short people
I'm 4-9 and the scooter works for me on the lowest setting. It is alittle tough on running on carpet tho. Great on hard floors .

  • Safe
Safety is the key to recovery, this is absolutely vital if mobility is a concern for individuals that are independent. May use it if yr short I’m 5”2 and and 140 pounds … its pediatric ,that tells me that it is really reliable because we can trust this medical scooter for a child as well .

  • Wonderful aid for short adults!
I'm required to keep weight off my foot for many weeks, following toe surgery, but at 4'10", I couldn't use a regular adult knee walker. This Kids KneeRover has saved the day. Both the handlebars and the seat adjust easily to a fairly wide range of heights, and the basket has proved surprisingly useful. It's also light weight, good for small users. It does drag a little on carpet compared to smooth floors, but it's manageable. It seems really solid and was easy to assemble. Note to other adult users: I did order the faux sheepskin pad for the bench, and taped some heavy upholsterer's batting under the pad, as I have a partly artificial knee that's quite sensitive to kneeling. Now I'm zipping around easily and am really happy with this purchase! Also important: when the Rover developed a loud squawk in the rear axle, I called the Knee Rover customer service line and very quickly got a solution. (The brake was grabbing.) They have videos on their website to show how to fix that and other minor issues. Very helpful. ... show more

  • Definitely for smaller adults!
I am 5'4" and this scooter is almost too small for me. It's fine, but if I were taller it wouldn't work. I have it on the highest settings. Also the cushion for your knee is will require more padding. I purchased a sheepskin covered memory foam cover. This also gave it a bit more height, which is helpful. It does not fold down so it needs to be placed in a trunk or the back of an SUV. It doesn't fit in the back seat. ... show more
