Build STEM-driven models, such as DJ Bubbles (an octopus spinning records), a pterodactyl, a yeti, and much more! Kinetic sculptures, or automata, are mechanically engineering toys that move when you crank the handle on the side. They move through a series of axles, cams, and cranks that work like the pistons in an engine. Each model includes a papercraft character that you fold and link with LEGO elements.

I ordered this for my nephew's 7th birthday and it was a huge hit! The lego set kept him quietly occupied for hours, he had a great time putting them together and was clearly very stimulated. 10/10, would recommend.

  • A Fun and Educational Build

My son was so excited to receive this Lego Gear Bots kit! It's been a great way to combine his love of Legos with learning about gears and simple machines. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, even for a younger builder. The kit includes a variety of gears, axles, and other building elements, allowing for endless creative possibilities. My son has spent hours building different models and experimenting with different gear combinations. It's a fantastic way to spark curiosity and encourage problem-solving skills. I highly recommend this kit to any child interested in STEM and creative play. It's a fun and educational experience that will keep them entertained for hours. ... show more

  • Great Product

I bought one of these for my 8 year old grandson and one for me. Each week we do a STEM class together over FaceTime and I thought these would be fun and introduce him to how some simple mechanisms create movement. We have done two so far. Punching out the paper images and putting them together proved a bit challenging for him, so his mother does that part with him ahead of our "class." I am enjoying these as much as he is. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Almost there

Fun toy, but it was not made clear that you can only make one of these toys at a time. Also, you really have to read the instructions very thoroughly. The illustrations alone are not enough like they are with regular legos. And lastly, the paper pieces on ours wouldn’t stay together without tape—which is annoying when you have to take them apart to make each one. ... show more
