  • All about performance
Color: Carbon Fiber
These are all about performance. I have the original Klipsch T5 True Wireless earbuds and they've made some dramatic improvements. They seemed a bit pricey at first, but the more I used them I realized why - they outperform most other earphones in every way. SOUND Amazingly clear and accurate, clean & crisp highs, great bass. I mainly use these on flights and I like that I can easily toggle from ANC, to transparency so I can hear the pilots/flight attendants on the loudspeaker, or just turn the ANC off. With ANC on I tend to listen to these at close to max volume (in the long-run it's probably better for my ears that these don't get louder). FIT Like the previous Klipsch earbuds, they include multiple sizes of oval ear-tips that fit nicely in my ears for hours on end without hurting my ears like some other earbuds. FUNCTIONALITY Basically, you tap or hold a button located on either the left or right earbud, depending on what you are trying to do. For example, 1-tap on the left toggles between ANC, transparency, and ANC off. Or 2 taps on the right earbud to skip a track. I had to check the manual when I first used these to figure the functions out, but after the first use, they are easy to remember and easy to control. PAIRING By far the biggest improvement from the previous models - they paired right out of the box and I haven't had any issues since. APP CONTROL With the Klipsch Connect App, I was able to turn on Dirac HD which I like for most songs. If it's a quality recording this seems to enhance nicely. There are some presets built into the app as well that I havent used yet. CASE Incredibly lightweight yet tough. It's impressive that with all the abuse I've put it through, yet it still looks brand new. CHARGING Klipsch includes a slick charging pad that allows your phone to charge on one side and the earbud case on the other side. I find it easier to just plug the headphone case in when I charge these but probably because I'm always using these when out and about. Overall, you can tell that both Klipsch and McLaren put a lot of attention to detail into these, and other than the price, these are impressive. ... show more

  • Fantastic sound, cool looking design. Expensive
Color: Carbon Fiber
The box contains the earbuds and charging case, USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, the wireless charging pad, five extra pairs of earpiece tips of different sizes, some instruction booklets, and some Klipsch and McLaren stickers. Here are my thoughts so far after a few days: SOUND – These earbuds sound fantastic, with everything that I've listened to so far. While the overall volume does seem to be slightly lower than some other earbuds that I've tried; these really produce a rich, clear sound. The is also an equalizer in the Klipsch Connect app, so you can switch between six pre-configured EQ settings (like Rock, Flat, Podcast etc); or you can choose “Custom” and adjust the bars manually for each of the frequencies. There is also a toggle where you can turn On and Off the “Dirac HD Sound.” Dirac HD Sound is an interesting feature that really seems to be better for some types of music than others. Personally, I loved the difference when I used Dirac HD Sound while listening to certain types of music on Youtube, it really brought out more of the vocals and I could hear individual instruments better especially in the midrange. This effect seemed to be even more dramatic when listening to music with heavy bass, and I really noticed the most improvement there. There were other situations when I was listening to music on a different app like Spotify, and I didn't like the Dirac HD effect as much. I would have to do more testing, but I'm not sure if this is related to the audio quality of the music source (ie low quality Youtube video sound is improved more?) or just mainly related to the type of music you are listening to (I liked the effect on bass-heavy music, not as much on softer acoustic guitar for example) So you really would have to try it out and see if you like the effect, it would probably depend on your musical tastes. So far I usually end up leaving it on. COMFORT/FIT – These fit very nicely in my ears, much better than most other earbuds that I've tried. The weight distribution is great, so that they don't feel like they are about to fall out of my ears all the time. The inclusion of six total pairs of earpiece tips in different sizes is a nice touch, which should allow everyone to find a tip size that works well for them. I like the shape, that doesn't stick out of your ears too much, and they are lighter than I thought that they would be. Overall, these are probably the best-fitting and most comfortable earbuds that I've tried. WORKOUT/SWEAT/WATER RESISTANCE – I have been exercising with these in for a few days, and they don't seem to be affected by sweat at all. BUTTONS – Most earbuds now have a touch sensor, where you tap the earbud to trigger actions. These earbuds actually have a physical button that you press in, toward your ear. It is a very shallow button that is easy to press, it does not take much force. This is still quite different though, from the usual “tap the earbud” design that most other brands are using. I really prefer this button-press design! Sometimes I have a headband over my earbuds when I run, and with other earbuds they could sense “phantom taps” from my headband and accidentally trigger an action like pausing the music. I don't have that problem with these, no more accidentally pausing or disabling ANC because something brushed against your earbuds. CALLS – So far call quality has been excellent. Everyone can hear me clearly, and people that I've called have reported little to no background noise, even in environments with noise or TV in the background. CHARGING – First of all, the included charging pad is very cool looking. It is designed to resemble a speaker, with the speaker grill fabric material covering the oval shape, and then some horizontal lines of rubbery grip material on top of that. It has a bigger circle on the left, and a smaller one on the right; the left side being for your phone and the right side being for the earbuds case. There are two white indicator lights toward the front of the pad that indicate when a device is charging on the left or right side. Charging is usually pretty similar with all earbuds, but this case seems to charge to full faster than any of my other earbuds. At first I wasn't sure if the wireless charging pad itself was just more powerful, but I have tried charging other earbuds like Galaxy and Belkin on this same pad, and this Klipsch earbuds case does seem to charge to full considerably faster, maybe about 2/3 the time of any of my other earbuds cases. The Klipsch website explains that the case has NuCurrent charging technology, and a quick browse of the NuCurrent website explains some of the advantages of using this technology for faster wireless charging. BRAGI MOVES (Hands-free Commands) – I have tested out the Bragi move command functions, and they work well so far. There are only a couple of things you can do so far: you can answer calls by nodding your head up and down twice, you can decline a call by shaking your head back and forth twice (like left to right), or if you are playing music, shaking your head back and forth twice skips to the next track. At first, these motion gestures didn't work, and I had to go into the “Interactions” menu in the Klipsch Connect app, and select “Calibrate Gestures”. This walks you through calibrating the motion detection by sitting still for a few seconds. After that, the head gestures worked perfectly. The description of each gesture actually says that you nod or shake your head THREE times, but I've found that it seems to trigger every time after just two nods or shakes ( ie- up down up down; or right left right left) The menu also informs you that media track skip only works within the first 10 seconds of the track that you're playing. I've gotten it to work perfectly on Spotify and Youtube so far. Hopefully more gesture support will be added in the future. OTHER – In the “Interactions” menu, you can also configure the LEFT earbud button to do whatever In-Call function or Music function that you want, for single-press, double-press, and triple-press. There is also a check for updates, and ability to upgrade to the latest firmware. You can also trigger your default Assistant by holding the right earbud button for one second. OVERALL: These are fantastic sounding earbuds, with nice buttons, great fit, a fast wireless charging case, cool looking case and charging pad, and hands-free commands. They are really noticeably better than any other earbuds that I've tried. The biggest downside for these is the price. These earbuds are super expensive, and if I'm comparing them to other earbuds, I'm not sure they are worth this high of a price tag. This is of course, personal opinion, and maybe if you are a super big fan of the McLaren brand you might feel like that makes these earbuds more worth the price. For me, I feel like these are maybe 1.5 – 2 times more awesome than the various earbuds in the $100ish dollar range. Based on performance, build quality, and included features/accessories, I would feel comfortable valuing these at somewhere in the $250 range, maybe as high as $300 with future software upgrades. The current price of $350 is pushing it a little, and it seems like you are paying extra for just the McLaren branding. So overall, a bit too expensive for what these are, but if you just want the best earbuds available at any price, it might be hard to find better ones than these right now. ... show more

  • Comfotable, great sound, stay put
Color: Gunmetal
I've always been a fan of Klipsch. I've never had a set of ear phones/buds like these that actually fit my smaller ears. They always would make my ear ache after wearing for a while. These are so comfortable -- and they come with multiple tips -- so if you're like me where one ear is a different size, it's easy to get these to fit great to block outside sound while representing your audio content perfectly. As usual, Klipsch delivers wonderful sound quality. Highly recommend. Great battery life! ... show more
