  • Had to doctor it up some but it does work.
The Katana 600 has only one fuel line. This fuel valve has two outlets. I sealed off the one toward the front of the motorcycle. I suppose both outlets could be utilized with a Y connector to the single fuel line. The lever on the valve for Prime/On/Reserve was so warped it caught on the face hold down screws and would not complete it's travel to Prime and Reserve. I used a dremel tool to cut enough away from the back side of the lever for it to work. I thought I'd better check the hold down screws and sure enough one of them was stripped and would'nt tighten up. I found another screw and that one held tight. I checked the diaphragm screws on the backside and sure enough they were loose too. I had to use a razor knife to cut away some excess metal flask where the valve- to- tank gasket sets. The vacuum inlet was facing the front of the motorcycle so I turned it downward. It sits deeper in the fairing hole and it is harder to get to to turn the lever but the thing does serve it's purpose and Suzuki wants $150 for the original. (Hint) Put a drop or two of oil inside where the gas goes to loosen the thing up so it will work better. ... show more
