  • Wish I found it sooner
Easy to use and it does add that charm and character to those sentimental items you don't want to throw out because they've cracked/broken.

  • It works well, go for it!
. Instructions were more than sufficient to make it happen. . A lil difficult to mix gold in evenly due to using a flat dish. Take more gold than you think you'd need, mix most in in the first go. . Use the stick to apply, not brush. . I should've known, but epoxy has fumes that I wasn't prepared to handle before I started the project. Took me 20-30 minutes from prep to clean up. Will the cheaper product work? Likely the same as this one. But based on my experience, I'd recommend this. ... show more

  • Fast drying
I think this product was a beautiful solution for a broken vase that I had. Just know the product dries very fast. Almost too fast.

  • Very Easy to Use!
Had a plate break right before gifting it. was a clean break so ordered this kintsugi kit. while i don't think this is how it is authentically done, it is a fine replacement using contemporary materials. Fixed in minutes and so far so good. probably can't use the plate as it was originally intended but its sentimental value is priceless. and the kintsugi is a good part of its story now. ... show more

  • Looks messy, not shiny
Dries super..SUPER fast and the gold looks like mud, not shiny gold.

  • Perfect for it’s purpose
My daughter had a pottery party and unfortunately some of her friends brokered art work into pieces. I managed to use this to fix the plates. It’s easy to use and the golden glitter makes it looking good!

  • This is a great product for creating a family heirloom
Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with a golden glue. It’s a metaphor for life — and it’s life-changing. This product delivered all that it promised... and more! My wife Jane and I made our first Kintsugi piece of meaningful art last weekend. What started as a $12 ceramic vase purchased at a discount home products store has instantly been transformed into one of our most valued treasures. We didn’t do a great job with it. But that’s part of the beauty. The smudges, the unpatched hole in it, the messy streaks, the part that’s slightly uneven — it all equates to our beautiful lives well-lived, with all the pain and brokenness that comes along with life. The most important thing is that we have reassembled the broken pieces and we haven’t tried to hide the imperfections, but rather, we have celebrated them, highlighted them, embraced them, and we have learned from them. Jane recently recovered from a life threatening stage four breast cancer battle. Last year, I almost died of a pulmonary embolism. Kintsugi represents the broken pieces of life that can be reassembled and made even more beautiful. That once broken vase now has a place of honor in our household, much like we honor each other — with all of our faults, imperfections, injuries, and illnesses. We talk about Kinstugi in my film, WALKING WHILE BLACK: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer, in my book, L.O.V.E. Is The Answer, and in our L.O.V.E. Is The Answer workshops, webinars, and classes. It is one of the most meaningful and beautiful practices of art on earth. You don’t have to be an expert artist to create something through Kintsugi that you will cherish. We’re doing our second vase this coming weekend, but not to get better at it, just to enjoy the process — the practice — of Kinstugi. We highly recommend this product. So much so that we purchased kits for a dozen of our leadership team members so that they can experience it too. And, we are interested in purchasing more! ... show more

  • Did you also find this from TikTok? Cuz I did
At first, I was really excited to do this project and because of my excitement I failed to read the instructions. Whenever you put the mixture into a little paper bowl, you’re supposed to put the glitter in before you start putting it onto your ceramic edges. I didn’t read that part, and I stuck the ceramic pieces together with just the resin and no glitter. I tried to go back and add the glitter, but it was not sticking so I took apart the pieces again and mixed new resin with glitter to put the pieces together. I put too much in this process and it did get very globby and gloopy and so there is a lot of bumping and dripping that happened because of that. This kit also comes with a pair of gloves and a mask, both of which I was too excited to look at or use or even think about. This mixture is extremely difficult to wash off your skin, and it smells very strong like chemicals so I would recommend using those protective products. As you can see in the photos above the end result is not exactly the same as the traditional Japanese. Process that uses gold because this is resin and glitter. I think it’s affordable and easy if you want to do something simple but I’m not sure I would use it on some thing I want to drink out of or eat out of. It was good enough for fixing the ceramic bowl I made in high school, but it isn’t fancy like I imagined ... show more
