My experience with Kinis so far (I now have 4 running): It hits a sweet spot for keeping an eye on valuables that I don’t want to (or can’t) cover using a camera. Kind of like an additional inner layer in my security onion. The sensors are sturdy, and work without any issues. A light blinks when they’re triggered, and I get a text message a few seconds after the motion. I mostly use them as a visual cue, along with signage, to let others know that private spaces are monitored and off-limits. But I also have one that’s tucked away to let me know if there’s any snooping going on. Knock on wood, this hasn’t happened yet- but I like knowing that I’ll get a text if it does. Set up is easy and I’ve had no issues with continuity of coverage. I did have a question about changing networks and support was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend! ... show more

Works great. There are a few changes that I would make though. The body design should have a wider base. I have velcroed to my gun safe door, but I worry that it’s going to fall because it’s just a small piece of Velcro. If the base was wide and provided more surface area, I would have no concerns. It should have an audible alarm option to deter anyone who has triggered it. Otherwise this thing has been great! ... show more

Kini has been a game changer for keeping my stuff safe on business trips. I take two Kinis with me. I put one in the pocket of my suitcase so I know if the suitcase is opened and one that I place in a bureau drawer. It needs Wi-Fi, but I can also hook it up to my mobile hotspot, which works great and bypasses sketchy hotel networks. It's perfect since hotel safes are too small and not that secure anyway. If Kini alerts me to someone snooping, I can quickly get the hotel to check it out. Hopefully, it never comes to that, but it's comforting to know Kini's got my back! Definitely recommend to anyone who travels for business or has things at home they want to keep private. ... show more

Value for money...nope, get a camera. Quality...Janky, like a $2 piece of plastic with an accelerometer in it. Motion detection...DON'T GET ME STARTED! FALSE POSITIVES LIKE CRAZY! Sensitivity is either TOO HIGH or TOO LOW, I've tried so many combinations...absolutely terrible product. Rather get a Ring camera to install just in the side of a wall, not even a door. At least then I'd have some accuracy and FOOTAGE to back it up! SERIOUSLY...just save up and get a camera. Terrible TERRIBLE Product. ... show more

This is my fourth Kini, which I ordered for travel purposes. My other three, which I've had for about 6-8 months, are in active use in my apartment in various ways. I don't know what I did without my Kinis, for peace of mind. I especially appreciate the aspect of privacy: the Kini alerts me personally of any tampering concern, without involving any need for outside security intervention.
