The media could not be loaded. Great product, very easy to use with fluid software. There was no lagging or issues everything transitioned and worked perfectly. Reading and testing vehicles of any variety. This is a very useful tool to change parameters of the vehicle, like tire pressure monitoring, and things of that nature. Able to check and erase any type of diagnostic trouble code as well as test things like fuel system issues. I found it perfect for my jeep as it also helps straighten the steering wheel when we make changes in our suspension. It came with a variety of adapters for just about any type of vehicle and application You would need as well as a very nice case to carry everything. The huge display monitor is easy to see and very easy to use. The touchscreen works flawlessly. This would be a great tool for a shop, or even a home mechanic like myself that works on a variety of vehicles. This will be very useful very often, and will pretty much pay for itself not having to inquire mechanic charges, which are now reaching $150 an hour. Connectivity to the Wi-Fi was very easy, once I did that I went through and updated everything which took a couple of hours which is no different than when you get a new cell phone or something of that nature that has not been connected but once that was done, the updates are minimal and quick thereafter. This product will work on diesels and gasoline vehicles, which is very useful for the home mechanic or a shop since most of us own a diesel truck, as well as a car or other regular vehicles. We tested this out on an 09 Silverado diesel, a 2011 Ford diesel, as well as an 09 Mitsubishi Galant, and even a jeep wrangler all of which gave us great information and erased any old lingering trouble codes. Great price on this product with most of the high-end competitors coming in at twice the price or more it gives great value on a comparative product. You also have the ability to hook up different accessories to this available at additional purchase like an endoscope for checking inside of the motor or anywhere you might need that. Very great and useful tool. With Bidirectional functionality, you do not need to tear things apart they can be tested electronically like opening and closing of the sunroof and things of that nature. This Kingbolen K7 is perfect for the do-it-yourself or the pro auto tech, this scan tool is very close to what I can do with the factory scan tool. This compact scan tool packs a punch! With bi-directional control and the ability to scan all modules, it's a versatile tool. Whether it's resetting maintenance reminders or handling tasks like changing electric rear brake pads, the camera works great. The speed of the tool is also awesome, it is a wonderful tool very friendly to use and has nearly everything you need at a great price point! 3 yrs updates included! The touch screen is great and responsive and it's lag free. It does everything! It commands things on like fans, windows, and anything else electrical, the K7 being blue tooth you can be right at the engine bay to diagnose a part while commanding it. Any special function or reset you can think of this thing does it. It's a good size to carry around and it comes with a nice zip up storage carrying case. This kingbolen K7 is way beyond a simple code reader it has so much options as comparable to OE diagnostics. This scanner has been great so far! - I have several, from $10 dongle/phone app, small cheap $50 one brand unit, to top line full-feature ($1,500+) scanners - this one so far might become the go-to tool. It connects very quickly, scans the VIN and then the systems very fast compared to the others I have. First use was verifying a used car we were looking at - pulled up an evap code that would have made it fail inspection in our state - we bought the car after the seller had it repaired - saved us $900 in parts, and saved me 6 hours under a car! Now, these days I'm pretty much a higher-end 'backyard' guy, but I ran shops for over 20 years, so I can apreciate a good tool. Next up troubleshooting a van with no heat - I was able to easily get into live data and read the temp. sensors. Now a big one - a late-model BMW, I just plugged in to test the unit's control functions WOW! it revealed hidden codes for a few issues I have had the car back to the dealer for several times!!! - And they claim every time 'nothin is wrong' To the point I'm ready to Lemon-Law the thing! Now, I have proof there IS something wrong that they either didn't LOOK for, or just didn't want to deal with. (these are all software issues within the car's systems) This unit, while being very thorough, is fairly compact, makes it easy to take along with me to look at cars that I have to travel for (the last two were 6 and 8 hour one-way trips and a couple times a year I'll fly out) Very solid feel - and so far I'm more than satisfied with Kingbolen's customer service! - They have been very responsive and helpful with issues and questions. I've only used the tool for a few minutes and it seems like a good value. However, the setup is confusing. There is a screen asking for account name and password. There is an option to set up an account. The account setup screen asks you to make up a user name and to enter your email address. Then it asks for a verification code. the trick at this point is to press the verification code button. Then the verification code will be sent to your email and from there things are straightforward. ... show more
