I love everything about this mattress! The very first time I laid down on the new mattress, I felt immediate relief of my hip pain. I felt total comfort and support all through my back making it feel perfect. This mattress is not too firm or soft. I ordered the Queen size with medium firm. It was just like how all the reviewers described. This is my first time for a memory foam mattress so I didn't know what to expect. I am 70 years old and had no problem in bringing inside the box or setting it up on my bed by myself. It was very simple to handle and I couldn't believe there were no smells to the mattress. When I first saw the Avenco Starry 10" Memory Foam Mattress showing all the 5 Star Reviews, I was very impressed. I spent a lot of time checking out all the different brands and reviews. This Avenco Starry Mattress is a step above all the other memory foam mattresses out there because it seems to fit all different age and size groups. This bed is amazing!! I bought a twin for my two year old. This bed is not too hard, but not too soft. The first day I opened it, it didn’t take long for it to reach 10in. So I sat on it. I thought wow this is great for a toddler, but too soft for an adult. When I sat on it the next morning it had definitely gotten more full and it was so comfortable!! I thought about napping in my toddlers room! I’m thinking of getting my husband and I one too because I’m shocked at how good of quality this bed is, especially for the price. I can’t believe it has so few reviews. If you are looking for an extremely firm bed, this is not for you. I wouldn’t want a memory foam bed any softer than this for fear of it not holding up. It took about a week for my body to adjust to the mattress and now I love it! On sites like Casper, they say your body should get used to new mattresses in 30 days, so I was pleasantly surprised that it took just a little less than a week. My particular mattress actually took less than 24 hours to fully form, which was a good thing cause otherwise I wouldn't have had anything to sleep on! I opened the box, let it air out and puff out, and then ran some errands at target. I was gone for only a couple of hours, give or take, and came home to a mattress that was ready to use. I was looking for a soft mattress, but I didn't want to sink in it. I needed it to be a good combination of soft, yet supported, and this mattress gives it to me. The minute my friend sat on my bed, her reaction was priceless! She couldn't help but comment on how good my bed felt, and then proceeded to keep feeling up the bed by pressing down on it with her hand in different spots. I also have been seeing a lot of reviews on similar memory foam mattresses where some customers found tiny shreds of fiberglass in it. So I was scouring the reviews with a fine tooth comb for customer experiences. If it had even one person that found fiberglass in their mattress, I was like NOPE! So I was thankful to finally find one that had good reviews, at least more than 100+ of them, multiple images, even videos of what it looks like in real life, as well as no signs of anyone experiencing any fiberglass found within their mattress. There aren't a lot of mattress options in the $350-$500 price range. When I was searching, it was either spend $200 on a strange amazon brand that doesn't have a real website, or $1000 on a casper/helix/etc. Overall, with this one you get what you pay for. It's nicer than a Lucid or Classic Brands mattress, but not as nice as one of the name brand/endless podcast advertisement mattresses. This mattress is firmer than expected, more medium-firm than medium. It's not comfortable for side sleepers. For me, that turned out to be a good thing - I used to toss and turn to try to get comfortable, and this bed is only comfortable on my back. There is only one option, but it's a good option, and I fall asleep faster because of it. If you like memory foam, don't mind firm, and don't want to spend $1000 on a queen, this is a good option. ... show more

I ordered this as a daybed mattress for my new apartment and so I would have something to sleep on while my stuff was being shipped in a pod and to be honest I might end up sleeping on this more than my $3,000 mattress that is coming today! It is a bit more firm but it is super comfy and I would have bought this a long time ago if I had known instead of my other mattress that took years to pay off! I researched and looked at reviews for mattresses for weeks. I felt confident when ordering this Mattress after seeing the great reviews. Now the question is what in the world did I do wrong ? This mattress is so hard and uncomfortable- I feel like I am sleeping on a bed of books. I wake up every hour hurting and sore. They guarantee 100 night sleep but I’m not sure how they will proceed with the return process. But that is definitely on my to do list for today... contact the company and hope for the best!
