I was able to purchase this mattress for only $250 on prime day. I was skeptical but willing to take the chance for that price. It arrived in a box that was about 12 in.² and 6 feet tall. Extremely heavy. My BF and I had to call in a sturdier friend to help get it upstairs. And the instructions don’t lie when they say be careful when you cut the plastic…it EXPLODED! We had a good laugh over that. Luckily, I had thought to take down the low hanging chandelier in the room beforehand. Per instructions, we let it rest for about three days before moving it into our room. (that actually was not difficult. It somehow seemed to get lighter.) It is thicker than 14 inches which is great other than I had to buy sheets with a deeper drop. It’s every bit of 17 inches once it expands fully. The description said medium firm and it definitely is on the firmer side, but so comfortable. The edges aren’t very structured so it can be a little hard to sit on the side of the bed. And on the box spring and bed frame it is quite tall so I have to kind of launch myself in and if I don’t make it fully, I’ll sort of slide back off. Mattress arrived rolled up in a box I gave it 48hrs to expand. Now it’s been 30 nights sleeping on this mattress and I’m rating it a big win very comfortable well made soft to the touch but medium to firm mattress BTW I did not detect any smell.

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because there's no real side support if you want to sit on the edge of the bed. It may be fine, but I am overweight, and I don't want to break it down when trying to stretch before getting out of bed so I go fast. It may be just fine, it's my fear.
