  • Simple to make
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1) Color: White
My picky eaters seem to like them. Pretty simple to make. I do not roll them out and put them in shapes rather, just put them in a square and cut them into strips.

  • Fun for kids and dogs
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1) Color: White
I knew that the kids would love to help make some dog treats so I was happy to try this one out. I love the idea of homemade dog treats that are just as easy as a cookie mix you can buy for yourself. These treats were very easy to make. You only need to add water, vegetable oil and an egg. It also gives the option of replacing the vegetable oil with peanut butter. The kids loved helping and picking out all kinds of random cookie cutter shapes they were sure the dogs would love. The box is clearly labeled with all the necessary information; guaranteed analysis, calorie content, ingredients, expiration date, directions and how to store baked treats. You can actually see the carrots and the flax seeds in the mix. Once cooked they made some nice crunchy treats for the pups. We kept some and bagged up some others to give as gifts to other dog families. These aren't a low calorie treat option, but the dogs seemed to love them so I am fine with the occasional splurge type of treat. ... show more

  • Homemade yummies
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1) Color: White
I already make my own homemade dog food so when I saw this I had to give it a go. It is no more difficult to make than a standard store bought box of brownie mix. I didn't go fancy with rolling pins or cookie cutters. I stayed simple and did small drop type cookies. My boys ate them up, as I expected them to, and we had no ill after-affects (diarrhea is not an uncommon problem when introducing new foods to a dog's diet). Easy to make and apparently yummy to eat. 4 Paws up ... show more

  • Cute idea
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1) Color: White
I think this is such a cute idea, making biscuits for your dog like a cake mix. I think its a novelty kind of thing, I wouldn't normally probably bake treats all the time for my dog. However, it worked according to the directions and was really easy to do. Just takes a little time and an oven! I'd say this is a great gift for someone who loves their dog, and baking! ... show more

  • Easy to make, ensure the quality of foods in your dog's diet
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1) Color: White
After encountering issues with prepared dog food from virtually every vendor, we've started making our own. Until now, however, we've not attempted to make dog biscuits, a particular love of our little girl. When I saw this, I knew I had to try it. As someone who bakes on a regular basis, this wasn't difficult at all. I don't have a dog-bone shaped cookie cutter and ended up making "bars" that work just great using a standard pizza cutter. The end result is that I had a nice quantity of bars available when I was finished. I consider the price to be fair for the number and quality of the bars. This has inspired me to dig deeper to see how I might fashion my own dog biscuit mix so that I know exactly what the contents are. Based on my experience, I'll probably order this again. My girl loves the results, and she would tell you that she's the boss in our household. ... show more

  • Great gift for dog lovers!
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1) Color: White
I love King Arthur products so was excited to see this dog biscuit mix product! They are super easy to make and store. I love the alternate option of peanut butter for added protein, plus our dog loves peanut butter! This would also make a great gift for dog lovers!

  • Limited Ingredient Dog Treats! 2 Paws Up From Our Beagles!
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1) Color: White
I have long been a user of King Arthur Flour products and even took a class in their facility in Vermont many years ago. When I saw this dog biscuit mix, I decided to give it a try to see how our beagles liked the treats. I did like that it has a limited ingredient list (9, plus the egg, water, and vegetable oil you add) as we try to go that route with all the pet foods and treats we buy--minimize the unpronounceable stuff and by-products. I mixed all the liquid ingredients together first, then hand mixed them in a bowl with the flour--first with a fork, then with my hands to make sure all the dry ingredients were absorbed. It took only a few minutes to get it thoroughly mixed into a stiff dough. The dough rolled and cut easily but since I didn't have any cookie cutters handy, I just cut the cookies with a dough cutter, hence the monolith shape seen in my picture. Note that the dough is not quite as dark and yellowish as my pictures show. The instructions say to bake it for 18-22 minutes, but I turned off the oven at about 15 minutes as they seemed to be baking faster than expected. It could be because I had it on convection baking. Then, you leave it in the turned-off oven for an hour. I was nervous about this because I've left bread in the oven after turning it off and it burned pretty quickly. Ultimately, I cracked the oven door after 20-30 minutes because the cookies were very firm and seemed dry and I took them out a little bit after that. The dogs loved them, which is the ultimate vote of confidence for this product. Admittedly, they are not very picky about food, but they get a wide-eyed look when they get something they REALLY like and I saw that look with these treats. ... show more
