I have gotten this brand before just another design and have never had issues with the lead breaking. The lead breaks on these over and over. I think they may be older and have dried over time causing cracking and breaking. Not sure how to remedy that? Cute display pencil, but not for every day use.

I bought these as a surprise "Off to School" present for my animal living daughter. They arrived and are super cute! However, I cannot say if they write well or sharpen well because I found out that all supplies in her class are shared. I will be holding on to them until she can have her own things as school. Hopefully she'll still be an animal lover! Maybe they will be a sticking stuffer this year...I don't know. I am disappointed but about the situation rather than the product =( ... show more

I bought this for a stocking stuffer. I bought a second pack for half the price at Books A Million. They are adorable, my grandchild really likes them. Several ears came off right away, so, I super glued all of them. The price is high but they proved to be a great gift. They arrived quickly.

These are really fun pencils. They aren't made from that great of material so they won't hold up very long. Other than the durability issue they are great. The characters look great and they don't interfere when the pencil is used. Note that they do not have erasers.

I love to write with a good old-fashioned lead pencil. These would be great to put under somebody's pillow - maybe the tooth fairy, May help children to do homework.
