After reading several reviews on this item I decided that the purchase was worth the try. The children at the Easter party I went to today LOVED LOVED LOVED it! It cranked out tons of bubbles, thousands probably every minute! If filled the yard with happy, laughing children which was great. I have one word of advice for anyone thinking of purchasing this item. My nephew, who knows a little bit about everything said for those who might be having problems with turning or bubble making capacity, once it's filled with bubble liquid, you cannot turn, drop or spill the contents. If it has been used, you must store it upright or the liquid will become displaced and it won't work properly. So his advice: do not turn or tip this over to empty the solution, do not otherwise turn or flip this item to wipe it down. Carefully wipe the outside so it will not become slippery and store it upright in the garage or shelf where the kids cannot get to it. Displacing the liquid may cause it to malfunction. But overall, I would buy this for another child who's birthday is coming up soon. Love it! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It was great the first time we used it but when we tried to use it again the number of bubbles drastically dropped (video). The batteries were new and we even discarded the solution and poured it again....same results...my kids were so excited but its such a disappointment! Updated: I received a replacement quickly and I tried the new one and I had the same problem. Both of them had a new set of batteries and nothing worked so I switched to Duracell and wow the difference. The batteries were weak even though they were new...who would have thought.. Long story short, the machine works great with lots of bubbles..... highly recommend... 5 stars... ... show more

This makes copious and beautiful bubbles with very little "machine" noise. I got it for our back yard for our 2 yr old. It works lovely. A few things to mention. Getting the battery panel off is a bit of a trick, it requires a Phillips head screwdriver and a little bit of force to make the screws loosen the first time. (And as others have noted, it runs on 6 AA batteries). ALSO, it only has one speed and will run through a lot of bubble-mixture very quickly. I went through 2/3 of the bottle of bubbles it came with in only 30 minutes of run time. Not sure if a windy day made a difference there, but I don't think so. SO, invest in either a good make at home bubble recipe, or buy extra. Also, if you have a toddler like I do, they WILL want to play with this (aka: shove their hand into the whale mouth and grab at the spinning wands) so I recommend finding a place out of little one's reach before you turn it on for the first time, or there will be toddler drama. :) ... show more

I really like this bubble machine. It makes so many bubbles in varying sizes. The bubble liquid that came with it had iridescent qualities. After I bought one and tested it I ordered a second one. We are going to use two for my daughter's going away after wedding, instead of rice or birdseed. Guests are going to ring bells. I looked at many bubble machines. i was really concerned about how noisy they were. But I find the noise level of the KIDZLANE machine to be acceptable. I think this will last more than one season if we take care of it and clean it and remove batteries for storage. I will say that if you rinse the reservoir out with water that you should remove batteries first. The bubble liquid doesn't get in the batteries, but if you are rinsing it off with water to clean it out, the batteries do get wet. ... show more

I've gotten three uses out of this product before it broke. It is badly engineered, whether by incompetence or design I don't know. In short, save your money and find something better designed. The problem is simply that there is almost no protection from liquids inside the toy. That means that should you splash any of the bubble mix it is running down into the motor (inadequately shielded) and the batteries which have no protection at all. What little shielding is around the motor only serves to hold the liquid in and not let it dry out. Since bubble solution contains glycerine or some other additive to make the bubbles last longer, it does not dry out by measures such as using rice or salt to absorb the water. In short, you end up with a gunked up motor and corroding connectors. The way this toy is designed it is inevitable that some of the bubble solution will splash into it and cause it to stop working. Save your money and look elsewhere. ... show more
