We are on our second toothbrush. This first one stopped working after several months. I'm not sure if it's because of poor design, or if it's because it's been dropped and thrown by our toddler. This makes brushing his teeth bearable most of the time. He likes the cute little character and has a favorite vibration setting. He was afraid of the vibration at first. Battery life is long. This brushing method works great for our 2 1/2 year old grandson! It fits his mouth and 45 seconds till shut off is not too long for him to cooperate. We asked his dentist about using the u-shaped toothbrush and he gave a big thumbs up for ease of use and getting kids to brush.     • Autism-friendly, but not quite clean enough

My 6-year-old is autistic and hates brushing his teeth. He started to get loose teeth and the sensory issues were bad. It got to a point where he was covering his mouth, running away, crying, and screaming every night. My ability to wrestle him into submission is waning as he gets bigger and stronger, and it's not ideal to have brushing be like torture! I got this brush to make brushing less traumatic and more fun. And it worked! We watched some videos of kids using u-brushes, and he was excited to use it. He loves letters, so was thrilled by the idea of using a "u" shaped brush. I also told him to bite down on it like a shark, and aren't you glad you only have 20 teeth to brush instead of a shark's hundreds of teeth? The light makes it fun, and it's a lot shorter time to brush. Since it brushes all the terth at once, he doesn't get the anxiety and try to keep me away from brushing around his loose teeth. He will now voluntarily go brush his teeth. Game-changer. However, when I check his teeth after brushing, there's still a build up of plaque starting, so this brush doesn't do a good enough job getting his teeth clean. The bristles are too soft. I usually have him brush twice and even then, it still looks a bit gunky. Love the concept, but I'll probably be switching to the brand-name autobrush that looks like it has actual bristles, and not these soft silicone ones. ... show more

If you have kids who don’t like to brush, or are not great brushers I highly recommend! My dentist was impressed by how clean their teeth were and they’re is no more complaining when it’s time to brush. They hold a charge great and they're very easy to use and you don’t even need to hold them while brushing. Be careful to get the right size so they brush all the way to the top of their teeth.
