  • Nice tablet
The tablet is heavy, got some weight to it. Not saying it’s too heavy for a child. But it seems delicate like if you drop it would break. Not delicate in the sense that it’s seem cheap. More delicate in like you want to protect it. Like it’s a laptop or something. The built in case is hard not like a rubber case you buy separately. ... show more

  • Sure to provide kids hours of cheap entertainment.
Full disclosure: I didn't order this to use as a children's tablet. I don't even have kids. I fully plan to disassemble this thing and use it as a control panel for my home automation. But I will do my best to give it a proper review. It seems well built and cute for kids. The monkey's arms move giving kids an easy grip and they double as a prop to hold the tablet up on a table. They are made of a textured rubber. While the main body is plastic, some thought was put into where to put bumpers to help it survive the abuse it is sure to receive. I dropped it 4 times in various orientations from 6ft onto a wood plank floor over concrete and it is perfectly fine. The arms have rubber "bracelets" near the wrists which are good for grip but if they broke could become a choke hazard. While they are removable, they are not easy to get off even for an adult. Out of the box, it launches into the "iWawa" app which is the kid friendly "sandbox" app you need a passcode to exit. It also has a separate kids app store that has 46 games, but clicking on them just redirects you to the google play store. Up to this point you don't need a google account or need to register anything, but as you may know, to use the Play store you must log into a google account. From a security perspective, I would create a separate google account just for this device. The iWawa app is also where you can set parental controls like only allowing certain websites (or no websites or any websites), allowing access to media, setting time limits, etc. It also has built in educational games separate from the app store, like memory, animals. and STEM topics I did factory reset it and it does come slightly set up out of the box. After a factory reset it had more questions than it had when I took it out of the box and does not launch directly into the iWawa app anymore. Good for me, maybe not good for others. I believe there is a setting to fix that though. It runs android 10 and outside of the iWawa app, It actually didn't have much as far as bloatware. Just a kids drawing app, the iWawa app and the usual google bloat (youtube, gmail, calendar, etc). It's easy to exit out into regular android. No obscure random Chinese apps that I found like a lot of these off brand tablets have. The tablet seems responsive enough for causal use. One thing I did notice when downloading an app (could affect video streaming) that even though I was only 1 bar down on wifi which seems correct for the distance I was, the speed suffered significantly. I walked it closer to the wifi access point to get full bars and saw about 2-4 times speed increase. That seems quite odd. The camera's are circa 2002 camera phone. The front camera is pretty dismal. Good enough for kids? Sure. It has a front and rear camera but I was unable to use the camera app to switch to the front camera but could do it in the iWawa kid camera app. NOTE: there is plastic over both cameras making the picture look even worse. Be sure to remove it. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack and an SD card slot. Box came with the tablet, a 1m USB-C cord and small charger, two quick start guides. Overall, for the price, it's a pretty good deal for some cheap entertainment. ... show more

  • Decent little kids tablet
This is a certifiably ok little table for kids, It's got some apps and configurations already set up along with parental controls, I'm sure there are ways around the protections but didn't see anything too obvious. The preinstalled apps are fine.

  • Pretty decent android tablet, specially for the price range.
Come on guys, what would you expect for this price range? this is like half the price of any other tablet. Still is decently usable. Cameras are like having a time travel to the 90s phones. hahaha but good enough to have a call or just play taking some pictures. Screen brightness is pretty decent too. looks like it has like a protective layer over the screen (perfect for kids). still the capacitive touch works. Its an Android 10, with the patch level from 2020, that boots into a home made for kids, with games. You can exit that and go to the Android, with the default pin 0000, definitely something you want to change if you dont want your kid freely browsing the unlimited internet. Youtube works, it plays videos at 720p, but 360 is the resolution that will work best, and for the screen size it more than OK. Speaker is loud enough too. Not some tips from a cybersecurity person: Do not use any of your Gmail accounts or any personal account in here. First, this is not a certified android device, so software running here who knows which code is running, backdoors, collecting info, etc. And at the same time the ROM of this devices is 4 years old, so no security patch since then. Google play store works fully, so that means somehow the hard is certified to get all the market. And google protect works too so if any active malware is running *it should* find it, but who knows... I would create a disposable gmail account, from this tablet itself during the first set up. And use it just there. You can add that account as a child on your primary account, to monitor and limit activity, and also use the location services, didn't test but sometimes you need to enter your primary account into the tablet to do that, and that's not recommendable at all. Another downside that I found is that this tablet wont charge from a QC or PD charger. Like the ones that I have in all my house. It needs a basic 5v charger. I mean, I wasn't expecting a fast charge, but even some low quality flashlights can handle charging from a modern charger... Now I have an extra charger on my living room just for this tablet :) (it comes with charger, I just wanted to use my already installed chargers, in my "charge stations") It charges from the factory USB on my jeep grand Cherokee (2014) but it wont charge on my Kia ev6, that has type-c ports that supports quick charge. ... show more
