I bought 3 tablets to help a poor family prepare for online learning in the Dominican Republic this year. In checking it out I was impressed with how much you get for not much money This is an Android 10 tablet so easy to set up, especially if you have set up a phone. The tablet is well built and feels solid in your hands. The design of the back gives a good grip and makes it less likely it will slip from your hands. This tablet is not just a toy, it is standard tablet which can tailored for use by young children by activating the software that gives parents the ability to control the time in use in any session and also the content the kids can look at. However, the addition of this software and a few apps for kids, such as little pianist and learning animals, are the only difference between this tablet and a "standard" one, making it also a good choice for older students or even adults looking for a low cost tablet. A small stand is included that makes easy to use the tablet. just pull pack the leg so there is a 3 point platform then set the tablet in the 2 rubber coated arms. The tablet comes with 25.91 GB of available storage, however this is easily added to by a mini SD card up to 128 GB. Good SD cards are available now at a very low cost so you might just as well use a 128 GB as I did with the 3 I bought for my friends. A USB to micro USB charging cable is included, plus an AC adapter. Just plug the cable into the adapter and the adapter into the electric outlet and you are ready to go. The cable is standard and if lost or a second cable is needed just use any USB to micro USB cable. No need to order one from the company as the user guide recommends. The user guide says to charge the first 3 times for at least 6 hours each, but check the charge of your tablet when you take it from the box before charging. I did and found mine was already 97% charged. If i had plugged it and left for 6 hours as recommended I most likely would have destroyed the battery before a single use. The first thing you do is set up the tablet with correct date and time, language desired, WiFi, etc, just like you do with a phone. And if you are a parent who wants to restrict amount of use and control the content viewed by your child, this is when you do that as well. Apps for all users that are preinstalled include Chrome as the browser, Gmail for emailers, Google, Play Store, calendar etc. The same package of Google related apps that come preinstalled on all Android phones and tablets. A user guide is included and is pretty well done. The illustrations are helpful and the text is,too, but the printing of the text is a little smaller than I like for my old eyes. For the price charged for this tablet, i have no trouble recommending it. The tablet can be tailored for use by young children by means of the parental controls, which can be ignored by older students and adults who are past the need for them. I did a Google search for Android apps for kids and was amazed and the number of good apps that are available for download to your tablet either from PlayStore or the websites producing the apps. Examples of the many free apps are PBS Kids Video for ages 8 and under, Brain Pop for ages 9-12, Khan Academy for ages 5 and under, Endless Alphabet for ages 8 and under, Moose Math for ages 8 and under, Artie's World for ages 3-6 and Roblox for ages 7 and up. Also available are inexpensive paid apps, and free apps if you want to introduce your young child to a foreign language, like Spanish I sure wish that this tablet and all the wonderful apps were available when my children were young. The fact that so many age appropriate programs are available for children is a good reason for installing an SD card so that you have enough storage space. ... show more

I have bought much pricier tablets for our kids because I always fall back on “you get what you pay for,” but these are 100% the best out there for toddlers. Easy for them to use and navigate, do not glitch and have enough storage to download some shows for on the go. I don’t leave reviews often, but these things have been a life saver when I need to get something done. Our 2 and 4 year old boys are beyond rough. My 4 year old has had his for 3 years and I just purchased another one since he finally managed to break the screen after years of abuse. These things are rugged, the price point is incredible and I really love that they are simple enough for them to use without me having to do it all for them. We also have a teen who we ended up getting an iPad for when he was their age because every tablet was cheap or glitchy…wish I would have known about these back then. This iPad has not keep a charge on it since we bought it. I will charge it, my grandson comes over to watch it and it’s dead. I bet every other time that I charge it, it might work. He ends up using mine. That was the reason we bought them one so we could have ours to watch. Really disappointed in this purchase. Don’t recommend buying one of these. The tablet is easy to use over all but I had a hard time at first with setting up a separate user account for my 2 year old and Parental controls. It is overall easy to use and if I would have contacted support to help set it up I'm sure it would have been a piece of cake because it only took 15-25 minutes for me to figure out how and do it on my own. The screen is good quality for the price and it comes with background wallpapers for children already. Sense I had a hard time I am going to do a small video showing you how I set up my son's account and did the Parental Control settings. It is a bit slow when you are logging in, syncing, or downloading more than one item at once but that is to be expected when it's brand new and is scanning all the data for the first time. ... show more
