I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this Kid’s Android tablet. It looks like a real Android tablet for adults. When I booted it up I discovered it is a regular Android tablet, one that would work fine for adults and kids alike. And it’s pretty snappy. What makes it a kids tablet is the iWaWa software consisting of Parental Control, Kids Space, and iDraw. Parental Control locks down the tablet so you can manage: users, time limits, web access/sites, apps and purchases, and media content. You can also monitor screen time stats for each kid’s account you set up. Unfortunately none of that iWaWa software has been upgraded to premium so you’ll have to pay for that if you want the extra features. The tablet is running Android 13 (the latest is 14). The CPU is an ARM8-A 4 core with a max clock speed of 2Ghz. It has 8GB of system memory (think RAM) and boosts that up to 19GB by using 11GB of the internal 128GB of storage. That storage can be extended with up to a 64GB micro SD card. The large 10.1 inch screen is bright and has great color at 1280x800 pixels, 160dpi, and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It’s a pretty good screen. The main camera is technically an 8MP (3264x2448) camera but it has a max resolution of 2592x1944 for images and max 1280x720 (60Hz) for video. The face camera is 5MP (2592x1944) but again it’s limited to much less with max 1600x1200 pixels for images and video (60Hz). On the side there is a power button, volume rocker5, a headphone plug, a micro SD slot, and a USB-C port for powering up the tablet or copying images/videos onto or off of the tablet. There also appears to be a factory reset pinhole which brings up the second negative (after having to pay to upgrade the software): the complete lack of hardware info in the documentation. The instructions are for any generic Android tablet, it doesn't even cover the iWaWa software. For connectivity it has Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE, and 5Ghz WiFi. The accessory kit includes a 5V2A USB-A wall charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a USB-A to USB-C adapter so you can change the charger cable into a USB-C to USB-C cable. And finally there is a protective case that covers the back and sides of the tablet. That case has a kickstand on the back that locks into place and makes using the tablet so much easier. As a basic kids tablet, I think this could be fine. There is a good amount of storage space, especially as a kids tablet at 128GB, and the 10.1-inch size is about the right size for kids to easily handle and not have to look into a small screen. There is a good amount apps that come pre-installed for usage as a kids tablet; apps such as parental control and Youtube Kids are examples. It does make for a more streamlined setup process for those wanting to use this as such. The included accessories were also a bonus, including the blue case that seemed to be of good quality; I also liked the fact that the screen protector already came on the tablet instead of me having to try and attach it to the screen without it bubbling. The reason for my couple of stars off though is that I just found the overall responsiveness of the tablet to be lacking. Apps that I tested took a long time to load, which is not ideal for kids, especially those who are more impatient. Even while in the app, basic tasks such as browsing the Internet (I used ESPN as an example using Chrome) just was not smooth, and the pages were taking a very long time to load. ... show more

This is a great buy if you’re looking for a child’s tablet. It is lightweight and easy to handle. The shockproof case is of good quality and should withstand a child’s mishaps. The case also has a sturdy stand for handless viewing or sharing. The installed apps makes it so nice as a gift as they can instantly start playing. It turns on instantly without hesitation and picked up on 3 WiFi instantly. The camera also operates easily and has good focus. You know the kids are gonna love that feature.
