It was easy to assemble, except I twisted the bar too far and the wood cracked. We fixed it with tape. The drums sounds how a kids drum should sound. I love that there's holes to hold the sticks.

With an MSRP of $36, this little toy is overpriced for what it is… Essentially, this tiny music oriented toy is more of a noisemaker than anything else. The tonality of the included Xylophone, drumheads, and symbols leaves plenty to be desired, but if you have a little one who is showing interest in music and rhythm, this will scratch the itch for them. That said… Parents be warned, this thing makes a lot of noise! Both my two year-old and my four year-old have shown interest in using this toy. So far, it has done a good job of holding up to the wear and tear of two small children routinely banging on it. The plastic and wooden components seemed durable enough to hold up over the long term, which is good. Additionally, the toy is small and lightweight enough for either of them to freely carry it around the house as they would like. That small size also makes it easy to stowaway when it is not in use. Given how much interest they have shown this toy since it arrived, I have faith that it will see plenty of use well into the future. That’s a good sign when considering the price point for this item. The last thing I would want this to become a throwaway item that fell victim to a lack of interest and engagement. I do wish the sound quality was better on this toy, but otherwise we don’t have many complaints. That earns it 4/5 stars, overall! ... show more

    • Great drum set for young kids/ toddlers
My kids, both my 1 year old and my 5 year old love this. I had it setup within 10 minutes and they were off making all kinds of music. My favorite part is the xylophone part since it gives you the notes engraved on them, so I can teach my 5 year old little songs like twinkle twinkle. Definitely great for age ranges from 1-5. Cute little size, I do wish the legs were a little taller as my 1 year old keeps trying to put it on her lap top play. So far it's been very durable, and comes in a gender neutral color so you can get it for boys or girls. ... show more

The musical drum set was straightforward to assemble using the instructions provided on the box. The variety of musical instructions was appreciated. My 3-year-old had a great time playing with it and was entertained.
