Box was delivered in good condition and we had zero broken pieces after I unboxed everything so that was awesome. It took me 5 ish hours to put together by myself. The only part I got help with was putting the roof on because the braces used to attach the roof panels together is kind of flimsy and the panels will come apart of you aren't careful when you lift it. I found out the hard way but luckily nothing broke when one of the panels came off when I was trying to put the roof on myself. All of the parts are labeled so that helps a lot know where everything goes. The biggest advice I'd give is to pay close to the orientation of the panels in the instructions and keep a close eye on where all the holes should be. I messed up twice and had to go back and take something apart to flip it around so the holes lined up right. Besides that it's a pretty easy and straightforward thing to put together, it's just time consuming, but the kids love it! ... show more

This was a great buy!!! It is so cute and roomy and sturdy. Plus I didn’t have to put it together my s-i-l did. It did need a heavy coat of poly in the texas sun but grandkids love it.

We bought this house for our kids' birthday. I can't speak to ease of assembly as I had my very handy stepdad and my husband put it together. I think they had it assembled in about two hours. First, it's really adorable, and I like that you could customize it with paint and other things if you'd like. My kids love the door and the picnic bench attached to the side. It has been a really fun addition to our backyard. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is that the wood roof panels are already starting to crack and split, and we've only had this up for two months. It's in full sun for only a couple of hours, but we also live in a high desert climate, so the air is pretty dry. I'm not sure if I should have added some sort of protective coating to the top to help combat this, but it's a bit disheartening to see something that cost a good amount already cracking. ... show more

It took 2 grown adults 5-6 hours to assemble. 90% of the parts were labeled. Its super cute and seems very well made. We had bought the KidKraft kitchen awhile back and love it, so it was an easy decision to buy this play house. Their products seem very durable. The house is super cute and comes with curtains. We also bought bbq set play food, which makes my daughter love this even more! She is 3 years old and the house seems like something she can grow into a bit more (I was worried about other playhouses because the reviews say that it almost seems too small for a 2 year old). My only "non-positive" is that I do think it's a bit overpriced, but we knew that when we bought it. It's super cute, and looks exactly like it did online. I would highly recommend this product ** 2 month update - I see a little fraying on the wood but to be expected with it being wood and outdoors. Still no major issues! ... show more

Decent enough build, took about 4 to 5 hours by myself to complete not including inventory time, what sucked the most is the first couple of walls and the roof is horrible, it's a solid roof when it's on there no doubt but putting it up is definitely a two man job, it is very filmsy at its connecting joints (it's three separate pieces connect by two 2x4's) some important pieces were warped or cracked and 1 hole for the roof was not drilled out, had to drill it myself along with two other holes not properly spaced at the door area, I'm 6'2 so this house is a good size since I was able to get in and out of it with relative ease which you'll need to do to secure the roof..once the bolts were secured the warps didn't matter too much unless you're a snob about perfect seals all the way around this is a great purchase, no floor piece so if it's outside in dirt I suggest foam tiles, faux grass, or a carpet for your kids feet.. a good wood seal is a must the wood on the bench feels a bit coarse and as i said before some pieces came cracked. ... show more

We purchased this as part of a holiday gift for our backyard. Like other reviews, the build for this was quite time consuming but not overtly challenging. The roof assembly and placement needs another person to make that easier, attempted to do solo but was easy with a little support. The materials are relatively solid, however some of the wood is on the softer side. Obviously this isn't a super premium playhouse, or you'd be paying a lot more for it. The kids LOVE it. I just got done building this. Pictures included, don’t mind the tarps, I’m keeping it a surprise for Christmas. By myself, it took 4 hours. You will need: a driver with screw driver and allen key bit, screw driver (for two spots), and wood clamps were a huge help, I also used a speed square to make sure everything was square, and wood glue for the spots that use dowel rods. I had one piece that didn’t match up with the picture, but it still worked. And one small plastic piece of a window that was cracked that I glued back together. Many pieces have a little warp to them, this is where the wood clamp come in handy, and walking the screw up a piece to make sure it bends into place is important. All in all, it wasn’t to bad. Only the roof is painted. This thing is pine. If you are going to put it outside it needs to be sealed or painted! I read a lot of reviews from people that didn’t understand this. When assembling it’s going to feel loose until you put on the upper portion, then it pulls it all together tight. There are things about this that could have been better, but I understand that they had to break certain things down to make it fit in a box. Building tip: stick a #10 (vertical frame) piece under the door, it will prop it up to the perfect height before securing the door to the hinges. ... show more
