Just purchased this for my 4 year old daughter! Upon arriving, everything was in tact. I’ve purchased from KidKraft before and this isn’t always the case lol. Luckily this time everything was fine! Overall it’s pretty darn easy to assemble. I usually have my husband put things like this together because I get frustrated easily - but I was able to do it by myself in under 30 minutes! It’s very cute and perfect size for her even though she’s a pretty tall 4 year old. I only have one issue - that being the wood. It’s very lightweight and not the best quality, to me. I expected it to be heavier. Works for what it’s supposed to do but idk how long it’ll last. And there are many spots that scream ‘splinter central’. My daughter was helping put together pieces and there were some I didn’t want her handling. It’s just ‘raw’ wood, if you will. Maybe that’s how all of these types of things come? Not sure, but it definitely needs a sealer on it. I attached a photo of what I used for our deck (not the awful looking deck that’s pictured lol) - it’s just what we have around the house. No idea if it’s ideal for this because I know zero things about stains and paints lol but it looks/feels better since I added the sealer. Hopefully this will keep it lasting longer! OMG! I can’t say enough about this little picnic table set. It’s so adorable and made very well. The umbrella is made of wood and is sturdy. I love how the chairs are separate. My granddaughter is two and it fits her perfectly. She sat at it xmas eve with all her goodies and was so excited to have her own table. Too cute!! ... show more

    • Decent for the price!
When I first received this outdoor table I was shocked at how sturdy it was. I really like the design! There are just a couple things to address. 1. The sun/rain has completely destroyed the finish on this, and it was only on our deck that receives a half day of sun, for about 2 months. It's actually to the point where the boards are warping. I don't know anything about wood or stain but I didn't think that would happen this soon. Especially after so little time in the elements. 2. The umbrella is cute, but ours unfortunately already broke. One of the posts on the inside of the fabric must have been a little weak. I went to close it down one day after snack time on the deck and it literally just stuck and snapped. 3. I wish there was some sort of anchor or pin *under* the table to keep the umbrella in place. If any sort of wind comes up the whole umbrella will fly out of the table. Open or not. I will probably be drilling a hole and sticking a pin in it at some point over the winter or this Fall for next years summer use, if it makes it that long. (The post breaking under the fabric happened before the first trip with the wind) 4. It's definitely a 2 kiddo table. I was hoping we could fit 4 at it. But my kids are skinny (ages 1 and 3 at the time of purchase) and it isn't comfortable at all for both of them to be on 1 side. I do want to point out that although my review seems somewhat negative - it actually is a pretty cute table and I was really surprised at the good quality of the umbrella (minus the weak post on the inside of the fabric). The umbrella fabric is sturdy umbrella material and not at all what I thought we were getting (I thought it was going to be thin vinyl). For the price, I would buy again and make a few DIY tweaks. ... show more

My husband and I put this thing together in 15 minutes last night and it was very easy so I'm not sure why some reviews say assembly was difficult. It is absolutely adorable and I love that it is made of real wood. We put it out on the deck and our almost 3 year old was absolutely ecstatic when she saw it in the morning and I told her we'd be able to eat lunches and do crafts outside on it. The one year old was not as excited but she will get many years of use from it too. My only regret is that I wish I would have gotten it for last summer. Think of all the messy lunch clean ups that I could have left for the squirrels and birds! ... show more

    • Beautiful set and very sturdy
We got this for our toddlers for Christmas. Hubby put it together in about 45 minutes with no complaints. We have several KidKraft products and all are so sturdy. This is a beautiful little set. The umbrella seems a little less durable, so we have it put away when not in use.
