Pros: fun and easy for my almost 3 yr old. He liked mixing the colors and putting in glitter. He needed help squeezing the color bottles though. And needed help pouring the soap as it gets too hot. The soap doesn’t harden *that* fast either so there’s time to think about what you want to do within reason. You can also just remelt it. Cons: Some of the colors were leaked, and the scents are very mild, can barely smell them at all. Also, my three year old got bored of it kind of quick. Older kids would probably have more fun though. ... show more

I have tried many craft and science sets with my kids, and this is the worst one so far. Horrible!! The mold and spatula are one-time use cheap plastic. The mold deformed and cracked after the first time. There is no way to make 28 pieces with these, unless you use your own tools. And the soap hardens SO quickly that you pretty much have to set everything next to the microwave, because it starts to harden in just a few seconds. Very difficult for kids to work so fast, so definitely not for kids 6+. And it's impossible to make soaps with different colors like you see on the box. And the soaps are very very very tiny. ... show more
