My favourite winter shoes. So pleased with this purchase. They look damn cute and are so comfy and warm. My feet were freezing with canvas vans and socks, the frosty wind would blow right in to them. These are perfect for deep winters. It's 30 degrees and I'm feeling toasty and comfortable walking around. I'll be coming back and buying more of these in future- as gifts and to replace these one day. They are well built, durable and sturdy too. Nothing flimsy about them. I got the brown colour and they are so cute, a lovely shade that goes with everything. I'm a solid size 6 wide shape foot, and they are true to size and mega comfortable. I was confused by all the reviews about sizing but I stuck to my true size and I'm glad I did. I can tell these will stretch so if I got 7, I know id be sliding around because they aren't tightly gathered around the ankle. The design of this Chelsea shape ankle boot is that the ankle isn't tightly held- so if you size up, this area is prone to being loose. With regular socks this true to size shoe is perfect. I was thinking I might need thick socks for super cold days but honestly I don't think I'd need them. It's 30 today and thin socks are keeping me warm in these, and I'm prone to feeling very cold. I tried thicker socks with these and they're a tight fit but could work for super super cold days, but I also don't want to stretch them out. The zip makes it's so easy to put on too. Hope this helps. I hope this shoe will always be available! Edit after wearing for a week: still obsessed with them but gotta say the ankle is a very casual fit- not snug enough to do long walks, a lil on the slidy side but it's a perfect shoe for walking to the bus stop and running daily errands or to go out for a coffee. Id probably wear other shoes if I was walking all day because of the ankle snugness factor- your feet end up semi gripping the shoe because of the loose ankle and that isn't so relaxing when you're walking a lot. OMG! SUPER COMFY! SOFT! I'm a size 11 and I have thick ankles and I love the fact that these boots have zippers on either side to accommodate slipping them over my Flintstone feet.... lol.... the Khombu brand is ALWAYS SUPERB! AND THEY LAST !

I love this anke boot. It is stylish and keeps my feet warm on a cold or rain day. There are two zippers on each boot: one on the right and the other on the left side of the boot. So it is very easy to get on and off. I usually just unzip one side of the boot to put it on. The boot is very comfortable. If you are looking at this boot, buy it already! ... show more

I got this size 10 M boot, even though I normally wear a 9 and 1/2 wide. Though ever so slightly tight in the toe box when I wear a light wool sock, the length is perfect. I expect the toe box to stretch a little. I am able to insert my PowerStep Pinnacle wool footbeds that provide the arch support that I need. I normally order a 9 1/2 wide or a 10. Without socks on, these make a perfect winter indoor slipper. Very soft on the inside and warm. For some reason, prior to my ordering this comfy boot, Amazon ludicrously advised that I order a 9! Supposedly based on my past purchases, which are 9 1/2 and 10s. And Truly baffling since before buying this boot, I had purchased the Khombu All WeatherBoot, size 10, just the week before, so I knew that there was a reasonable chance that this boot would fit. I like that it has two strong zippers -one on each side- and I love the soft brown color and texture of both the collar and the faux suede material. I also like the thick sole, which appears to have very good traction treads. The sole should keep the boot's upper above the water line of shallow puddles. Nevertheless, I will be spraying the boot with Kiwi Boot Waterproofer, which is an excellent silicone spray for all boots. I highly recommend it for synthetic materials such as are used in this boot. For leather boots, I recommend SnoSeal All-Season Leather Protection. ... show more

First…I generally wear anywhere between a 7.5 and 8 shoe. For boots, I can go as high as 8.5, to allow for appropriate socks. These don’t come in half size, so I first got an 8. The fit would have been okay if I used thin socks; but, these are for winter, and I knew I’d need thicker socks, so I exchanged them for a 9. There’s a little bit of extra room, but it allows for thicker socks and it isn’t a problem. The toe box of this boot is comfortably roomy for me. We’ve had more snow and ice than usual this season, and I have found them to be relatively warm and, equally important, safe to walk in. I do not do any hiking. I strictly walk in my neighborhood on flat surfaces. So I cannot gauge if these would be appropriate for heavy duty hiking in heavy weather. For what I need, they work great, and I would buy them again. ... show more

These boots are wonderful, best purchase I made last year. Bought them at the end of winter, so just now wearing them. They are very comfortable, and they keep my feet totally warm. Love that they have 2 zippers, makes it easy to tuck pants legs into them. AND they look great! Higher recommend!

    • Great winter walking boot…except…

I purchased this boot to wear on winter dog walks. The boots are SO warm and very comfortable! Really easy to step Into. I loved them so much until ….. the inside heel wall got rubbed raw after only maybe 6 weeks. After that happened some debris from inside the shoe’s insulation kept falling out of the rubbed away hole. So it constantly feels like there are small pebbles in the shoe. Also. On extreme conditions only (really bad ice) the boots tread doesn’t hold up completely but most of the time it was great. Still glad to have them and the price was right for such a warm and cozy boot. Sometimes the zipper gets caught on the cloth behind it but not overly annoying. ... show more
