The Dewalt 10” job site table saw comes with one of these, I’ve used it many times to make jigs, I always needed a second one for the jig to slide just right. This is extremely well made, is adjustable, and works great with my Dewalt tablesaw!

    • These are clamping mitre slot bars

These are for mitre slot jigs that you need to lock into your table. There are two metal split rings that expand while tightening down an M6 bolt that locks the bar into the track. You need to drill a hole through your sled to get access with an Allen key, or a slightly bigger hole if you ever want to back the bolt out completely. The thing I like about clamping bars is you can use the clamp to make a precision fit into your table slots. Use a dab of blue locktite and when you want to adjust the tolerance, just tighten down the bolt a little on the clamps to make the bar as precise as possible. This is a much nicer feature than adjusting a set screw on the side of a bar. My only modification was on the rail washers. They are stamped and the edges are rough. I polished them up a little bit and used some dry lube to seal. These rails slide so much nicer than the Rockler pair I just replaced. I'm going to replace the rails on all my sleds and jigs with these! ... show more

I was able to use this miter bar to build a guide for my router table that slide smoothly and was very stable with no side to side rocking. The package contains no hardware, but mounting was easy enough with screws I had laying around. My only real complaint was the packaging was nothing more than a plastic bag in a padded envelope - however, it did arrive undamaged and not bent. All in all, this is a pretty darn good miter bar if you are looking to create fixtures and jigs! ... show more

Though it is a little short, I got it to use on my band saw so the length is good for me. My saw doesn’t have a t-track slot but those guides were easy to remove. Truing up the bar was a snap, once I found the right Allen wrench. At the current price of $10, you can buy 2 and still save over buying one of the name brand ones. ... show more

I only had to tap one hole for the pivot of the old Dewalt miter gauge and now I have an actual useable miter gauge with no slop. This was a huge upgrade for my table saw since I pretty much wouldn't bother using the miter gauge before, due to how loose it was in the tracks. Great replacement/upgrade on a budget. ... show more

    • Base Screws Should Have Been Included

I have a Ridgid R4511 granite-top table saw. This slider bar fits just fine and slides freely - without the two retainer washers at each end. When in place, they block the slider bar from entering the slot. If I take them off, the bar slides into the slot just fine. I usually leave them off, anyway. But so you'll know, this is one table saw they will not work with. The side adjustment washers work just fine. And the bar itself is very nicely machined and finished. The screws in this kit require Allen wrenches - size 2.5 for the side adjustments and size 3 for the retainer washers. These little wrenches are not included. You will also need to provide your own flat head screws for mounting the bar to your jig's base. Not including the two small Allen wrenches might be borderline acceptable, but not including the right-sized flat head screws for attaching your jig base may pose a considerable inconvenience for some. For only a few cents, these four screws could have been included and possibly saved someone an unnecessary trip to the hardware store. ... show more

I like the quality of these miter bars for custom jigs. Adjustable and work with older and newer tools. I've used these on my vintage USA Delta band saw and my new Laguna band saw. Adjustments were easy and snug once set.
