  • Very comfortable, good traction
I had no breaking in period. Wore these right out of the box on long hikes in Iceland. Kept my feed dry through shallow streams, no slippage up or down hills. I usually have problems with my toes hitting the front of shoes when going down hill but these kept my foot in place so no issues there.

  • Excellent but run slightly small.
Size: 11 Wide Color: Magnet/Atlantic Blue
These are comfortable, sturdy, light weight, & make my big feet look great. They run a tad small though so order half a size up.

  • Women's Keen Hiking boots
Size: 8.5 Color: Magnet/Atlantic Blue
A Swiss Army Knife for Your Feet. As an avid hiker, I embarked on a solo adventure to Switzerland, where I put Keen's women's hiking boots to the ultimate test. These boots are a dream to wear. They provide exceptional arch support and cushioning, making them a joy to hike in for hours on end. The padded collar and tongue prevent chafing and offer a snug fit. Switzerland's unpredictable weather was no match for these boots. They kept my feet bone-dry through torrential downpours, snow-covered trails, and muddy bogs. The breathable construction allowed my feet to stay cool and comfortable even during strenuous ascents. Not only did these boots excel in Switzerland, but I've also been using them for swamp trails in Florida. They effectively protect my feet from water, thorns, and debris. Their versatility makes them a must-have for any outdoor enthusiast. Cons: Slippery on wet flagstone and sugar sand. The treads on the soles do not provide adequate traction on these specific surfaces, leading to a lack of grip and potential for slipping. Ask me how I know, LOL... ... show more

  • Finally found a good boot
I have never owned KEENs before. I do however have wide feet and toes that like to splay out. I love to hike especially in the mountains. If you’ve ever hiked inclines, you know how unfortunate it feels to have squished and bruised toes. I debated on a size 8 or 8w. I decided to go for the 8w. I will say they are very wide. For me, I love this. But I want to give the disclosure that I believe the regular size also runs a little wide as well. The insoles in these are a dream. Not memory foam soft, but comfortable right out of the box. They are sturdy enough to feel like you have enough support. I LOVE that these have a strap on the side. This allows you to tighten the boots around your ankle and keeps your feet from pushing to the front of the boot. For inclines, this is so so important. The arch support is phenomenal. These are very waterproof from what I have tested them in. Puddles and small streams mainly. KEEN as a brand have been pfas free since 2018 and keep the environment in mind when making products. Overall very happy with the purchase, price point, and company as a whole. ... show more

  • Keen hikers are great
Size: 7.5 Color: Dark Olive/Atlantic Blue
I’ve bought keen hikers before and this model line. They’ve lasted years but should have been replaced due to worn soles. These are rigged with aggressive tread, perfect for rucking in the snow, rain, and year round use. Easy lacing. Only CON is the laces are too short but very functional and in no way affect the boot performance. The MID hiker supports my skinny ankles without any problems with seams etc. I’m not too much into loud colors so this olive color fits in my “gray” living outside. Breaking in is very important to me (I’m a klutz and would twist my ankle if I’m not familiar with tte boot construction) so I wore these in the house before rucking. I use the hiker Darn Tough Socks I bought on Amazon and they don’t make my boots too tight. I like the elevation and aggressive tread, but I sure miss my VivoBarefoot winter hikers (zero elevation and I feel the ground do no tripping or twisting my ankles). I like these hikers are water resistant and very sturdy and durable for rucking, hand shoveling snow from sidewalks and driveways for mom, etc. ... show more

  • Expensive boots w/ terrible grip
Size: 9 Color: Java/Porcelain
I was recommended these hiking boots by my parents because I was heading to Costa Rica. I bought them back in April 24’. I used them multiple times for good lengths of time over several different terrains to break them in. I even wore them to Disneyland to walk ten miles in. Every time I wore them my feet felt like they would fall apart. So uncomfortable that I ended up purchasing inserts to put in them. Fast forward to June during my trip. I wore them on the hikes through the rain forest and let me tell you I did not feel confident in them keeping me stable one bit. I was constantly focused on where to step in fear of losing the grip. They were great to protect my feet and ankles from critters but that was it. Two days ago I was walking around the main city and had my hiking sandals on, walked 4 miles and felt great but it was starting to rain and the streets can get a little slick. I decided before heading out on a walking food tour to switch to the boots to help keep me from slipping. They did the OPPOSITE! I can’t count how many times I felt the shoe slip as I walked. Ultimately I ended up slipping and unable to save myself. I fell hard on my knee resulting in a giant slice and scrape. I couldn’t go back and change because the tour had started. So I’m walking through the city with bloody knee and walking for another 4 miles before finally making it back to the hotel and my feet were literally screaming. The tops of my feet were so strained, the bottoms hurt and I got a large blister on one of my toes (which I hadn’t gotten one yet). I would’ve felt safer in the hiking sandals and more confident in not slipping/falling. I one hundred percent wouldn’t purchase these again nor recommend them. ... show more
