  • 4.0 out of 5 stars the shoes run a bit smaller
Size: 8.5 Color: Black/Bossa Nova
The shoes look spectacular, very good quality materials and nice packaging. The shoes are a bit weird when you put them on the first time, because of the shape and unfortunately after wearing them for at least couple of hours they get very hot. As per my experience is also recommended to get a least a half number bigger size, but not to big because the shoes are as expected very heavy and might get uncomfortable if they are loose. I really like how they look, but they are not as comfortable as expected due to the overheating and maybe the tight size. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Losing confidence in this boot.
Size: 11 Color: Gargoyle/Forest
I’ve had nine pair. I put an average of about 4 million steps on each pair according to my Fitbit. I have purchased nine size 11 in a row. The last pair purchased were too small. Suddenly I returned them and found a half size larger from Amazon. I bought them, but they came with the wrong foot sole installed. I pulled the old one out of my old shoe and I’m using that. The boots are excellent boots but I’m afraid the quality control of Keen is slipping. It’s like three mistakes in a row, which generally means that their processes internally are starting to go haywire it’s a shame. I love his boots. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars KEEN Utility Men's Braddock, aka favorite boots I've ever had.
Size: 9.5 Color: Gargoyle/Forest
The first pair was bought in early 2019. Its now dec 2022. It took years to wear threw the sole and a good half in of solid rubber was walked off. The final straw was steel stairs that had sharp treads from being peirced for traction. (Temporary staging, 6 stories worth of stairs, on a 8 story tall unit to my work location in the building) this took the worn out sole and made a tear, mind you, this is after a few years of solid use. I would of shortly word threw anyway so its no fault to the boot or keen. I absoutley love these boots. As a heavy construction worker, I have not found a better pair in 20 years of my trade. I've tried everything from 350 dollar usa made logger boots to the cheapest ones you can get for 20 bucks at walle mart. Tldr. These boots have been reliable, fantastic and comfortable for someone with heel spur and falling arches. I did use insoles, but regardless have been so impressed I will be buying 2 more pairs this year to make sure the next 10 years, I have my boots. • 5.0 out of 5 stars Best safety shoes ever
Size: 12 Color: Black/Bossa Nova
I love these work shoes. They become like snug slippers I slide on and off but stay on well enough to climb ladders and such. I bought these to replace my last pair that had nearly daily (up to 16 hours a day) use and lasted 2 years. These are great.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Shoe is top notch...Shoestring are inadequate.
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black/Bossa Nova
Shoe fits and feels great with no need for additional inserts. Shoestring are not durable at all. Outer sheathing rips, preventing proper tie.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars American quality, run a bit small but are very comfortable
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black/Bossa Nova
I had ordered a pair of the black and yellow Nautilus 1925's in a 9.5 EE size and they were too narrow. They were cheaper price wise, around $70 but the quality compared to the Keen's is poor. I ordered the Keen 9.5 EE and they fit well but could be a tiny larger but it's not a big deal for me. The Keen's were $50 more than the Nautilus but they have a real insole with arch support and they don't feel like "Earth Shoes" like the Nautilus 1925's do when you first walk in them. For those unfamiliar with the "Earth Shoe" they were a goofy trend shoe in the 1970's and early 1980's that had soles thicker under the ball of the foot than the heel and it felt like you were walking up hill - like the Nautilus 1925's. The build quality of the Keen's is where you see where the extra $50 went versus the Nautilus shoes. The Keen's are double stitched all the was around, heavy duty lacing loops and a sole that looks like you could jump onto a bed of nails and be safe. The characteristic "Keen Toe" is a little odd looking but these aren't Jimmy Choo shoes. I bought them for weight lifting in the gym to protect my toes and for riding my Harley. I found out the hard way that "composite toes" in motorcycle boots don't do much when you slide on asphalt. I ground right through the toes of my composite cycle boots so it's steel toes for me on my cycle. The "Made In America" tag was the finishing touch for me. I'm sick of buying cheap import junk and I decided to do my best to try to buy American products whenever the opportunity presents itself. I'd recommend buying a 1/2 a size larger because a steel toe boot will not "break in" very much. Other reviewers have reported that the uppers are "stiff" which is accurate but these are weigh lifting and cycle boots for me, not running shoes. One week later - 10 hours of wear at the gym lifting and using cardio machines. The fit remains perfect. I didn't think these would be usable for cardio but they work well on both a recumbent bike and an elliptical. I can do wall sits with these shoes in total comfort. My old Converse composite toe shoes were super painful for that exercise. Another reviewer commented that the uppers were too stiff. These Keen's are stiff but for me that was a hidden benefit because I found that I can slip these on without untying the laces. Overall, these Keen's are surprisingly comfortable with a high build quality, made in the USA and are rapidly becoming more than just a safety shoe for the gym. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars first impression
Size: 10 Wide Color: Black/Bossa Nova
the first impression was of tightness in the left foot. I always bought Keen and it was always my favorite shoes, mainly for work. These Keen are a little heavy, but it's still early to evaluate. it may be that they come to fit well on the feet, especially on the left.
