  • Love My Keens
Color: Bungee Cord/Black Size: 11
I've been buying Keen's for 16 years now and have gone through dozens of pairs of their hiking shoes. Lately, I have toned down my hiking, but I still like the Keen shoes for daily wear. I am a loyal Keen enthusiast not only because they make a great shoe, but once, in 2012, I had a pair of Targhee II that had a faulty eyelet that broke the first time I wore it. Keen promptly replaced the boots with no questions asked. That action by them made me a Keen customer for life. These Targhee III's are replacing another pair of Targhee III's that will now be relegated to yardwork only. These hiking boots have a relaxed feel - they are light and nimble (not heavy or clunky). I feel comfortable doing anything in these boots and that is why they are what I wear 80% of the time. My wife wears a more, 'traditional', hiking boot and she only wears those on the trail because they do well on the trail, but aren't great anywhere else. These Keens are champs on the trail and perform well in most other situations as well. I love that they are waterproof and that the soles are grippy. I have never lost my footing because of my Keens. If you've never worn Keens before, the toe box is large and roomy. My feet are narrow near the heel and normal up front - these boots are snug on my heel and leave room for my toes. ... show more

  • Great comfortable boots! Order 1 size up
Color: Chestnut/Mulch Size: 13
After wearing these boots for nearly a year I must say they’re excellent. First pair of Keen boots I’ve owned but will not be my last! They’re extremely comfortable and broke in easily and quickly. I’ve worn them all day hunting and also worn them daily at work when I’m on my feet on pavement or concrete for nine hours at a time. The fit, comfort, look and durability are all 5-stars. The most important thing (I think) is to order one size larger than you normally wear in boots. I normally wear a size 12 boot or dress shoe, and wear a 13 running shoe. The size 13 Keen boots fit me perfectly. Definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Best boots ever
Color: Drizzle/Captains Blue Size: 9
Keen make the best boots. I've used their safety boots at work and now use their hiking boots exclusively. They are insanely tough, durable and fit great. I took a pair to Everest Base Camp and totally fell in love with them and use them daily hiking in the West. They have a nice wide toe box and snug your instep well to lock your heel in and prevent your toes from crushing while hiking. In other less sturdy, more poorly deisgned, cheaper boots I have lost toe nails from them hitting the end of the boot. But I've never had ANY foot problems with Keen boots. ... show more

  • Most comfortable for wide feet, if you get a good pair!
Color: Black Olive/Golden Brown Size: 10.5 Wide
I bought a pair of these from a local outdoors type store, and liked them enough to order a second pair a month later from Amazon, so I could alternate. I take the dog out for walks/hikes twice a day, and sometimes go for up to 3 hours hikes on our local mountain trails. I have a hard time finding good shoes/boots that don't hurt my feet as I have a wide toe box, but narrow ankles. These were the only ones that didn't hurt the sides of my feet and that I didn't need to get special inserts to prevent pain in my feet. The grass is always wet in the mornings, and we often cross small streams on my hikes, and there have managed to keep my feet dry. The pair I got from the local outdoors store (big coop chain) had a slightly different insole color than the ones I got from Amazon. Within a couple months, or so, the ones from the local store where showing cracks in the material around the outside edges of the toe box, whereas the ones I bought from Amazon have not shown any signs of cracking at all. Other than the insole color, they look the same, but I'm guessing maybe they are manufactured in different places, one more cheaply than the other? After about a year, those cracks broke all the way through and that pair has gone into the trash, while the ones from Amazon are still going strong. After throwing away the bad pair, I bought another pair from Amazon (very recently), and they have the same color insole as the previous pair I got from Amazon, so I'm hoping they hold up as well as that pair, and I'm now swapping between the two pairs from Amazon. ... show more

  • Quality needs to improve
Color: Black Olive/Golden Brown Size: 11 Wide
I like these boots. They fit well for my wide feet and are comfortable with the aid of a new insert, but that is because of my failing arch. My issue is the gluing of the upper to the sole is not consistent. So much so that this particular pair I received had spots that weren't glued right out of the box. I fixed that myself, which I'm happy I can do. But then the next issue arises before the year is up. That being: the upper cracks and seperates from the sole which renders it no longer waterproof. This happens the fastest where the toes bend, then works its way towards the arch of the shoe. This is my second pair of this exact boot and it has happened both times. One time bought in a store and the second time bought on Amazon, so it's not a knockoff issue or anything like that. I wish they could fix this problem, but for the price, I will have to look elsewhere. ... show more

  • The Best
Color: Chestnut/Mulch Size: 13
I love everything about these. They have become my everyday shoe. They also have a great fit and support for my chronic heel and plantar fasciitis pain. Very good quality shoe. I highly recommend.

  • Great. Would buy again
Color: Black Olive/Golden Brown Size: 12
These are first shoes that I can wear, all day, and my feet not be sore. There’s not much arch support, but the splay of my feet is great. Plenty of room for thick socks, too

  • Kinda of Waterproof
Color: Drizzle/Captains Blue Size: 9.5
I bought these boots because I needed comfortable/waterproof shoes to use at my job. Working at a car wash means that you will get wet all over. Comfort is top of the line. For the first couple of weeks, it has to be broken into. After that, it feels great for standing for a couple of hours. Waterproofing is decent. A couple of splashes here and there and the boot is dry. But for prolonged time in water that isn’t even up to the ankles, some does leak thru. But other than that, these boots are top of the line!! ... show more
