Description

Sporty and versatile, Keds’ graham is a classic canvas sneaker built with the energy and adventures of little kids in mind. From the cushy memory foam footbed to the durable rubber outsole for traction, they’ll enjoy comfortable play all day. In 1916, the Keds brand was introduced by the U.S. Rubber Company as the first national athletic and lifestyle footwear brand. At this time, the shoes were called sneakers, a term invented in late 1916 by Keds advertising agency because the rubber soles made the shoes quiet. Worn by Olympic soccer players, scores of National and International tennis champions, and many college athletes, Keds was coined the shoe of champions because of its reputation as America's premier athletic brand. Not only was Keds a leading athletic brand, it was also the brand of choice for leading style icons due to its classic, stylish, and authentic characteristics.

  • Finally! A shoe that stays on our young'un through his rough-and-tumble
Special Size: Little Kid (4-8 Years) Size: 6.5 Wide Little Kid Color: Navy
After quickly going through five pairs of shoes that never stayed on our son's feet (if we could even get them on his feet), we've finally found a shoe that goes on easily and stays on and we couldn't be happier. Here's a breakdown about these shoes: Sizing: As suggested by other reviewers, we ordered a larger size. In fact, we ordered TWO sizes larger, and got the wide width, and the shoes still stay put. (Never mind that our son looks like Ronald McDonald with his clown feet, but we keep telling ourselves that at least he'll have room to grow into the shoes....) Fit: I'm not sure if it's because we bought the wide version, or because we bought two sizes too large, or because you can loosen the shoes with the laces, or just the way the shoes are constructed, or all of the above, but these shoes go on quite easily (even over our son's high arches and beefy baby feet). You can then get a pretty tight fit with the laces. It's worth noting that even though we bought two sizes too big, the shoes still fit great. We don't even need to put socks with them; the only place where they are big is in the toe (hence the clown shoe look). Comfort: As a general principle, our son HATES shoes. Because he's a young'un of few words, I can't say definitively that he's smitten with these shoes. However--and this is a big however--he doesn't try to pull these shoes off every chance he gets, unlike every other pair of shoes that he has had (I doubt he'd be able to, anyway, with how well they fit on the ankle and with the laces). Also, after a full day of wearing them, even without socks, he has no blisters. Price: My wife and I had--and are still experiencing--some sticker shock when it comes to toddler shoe prices. So, a little part of me hurts for saying that $20 is a reasonable price, but for what we've seen so far, this is a pretty reasonable price. Looks: Due to the aforementioned sticker shock we're experiencing, my wife and I wanted to get the most use we could out of these shoes, so we purposefully ordered a couple of sizes up (hoping he could wear these shoes into puberty, or at least into kindergarten). So, not surprisingly, as mentioned, the shoes look a little clown-like because they're quite large in the toe area, though they fit very well everywhere else. Because our son's feet are so small for the shoes, the laces are also quite long, further exacerbating the clown problem. Otherwise, the shoes are cute. The navy goes well with lots of outfits. (Do note that the color in the pictures looks like a denim or chambray, but the actual shoes are a true navy.) Overall: We are so happy to have found these shoes. They're (relatively) affordable; they fit our son well, even with tons of room to grow; we don't have to struggle to put them on his feet; they appear comfortable; they are cute; and, above all, they stay on his feet. Although this is our first Keds purchase, this certainly will not be our last. ... show more

  • A little narrow but okay
Special Size: Little Kid (4-8 Years) Size: 9.5 Wide Little Kid Color: Red
My son has a fairly narrow foot but we went with the wide just encase. Glad we did bc with socks I'm not sure they would be comfy. Highly recommend wide or extra wide even if your child's foot is narrow. We bought these for preschool. They are so classic and sweet. He's 4 so he will wear with all his monogram shirts and smocks and looks super cute. 😄 ... show more

  • great shoe, but we wanted more
Special Size: Little Kid (4-8 Years) Size: 8 Wide Little Kid Color: Navy
These are so cute,.we were so excited for our little boy to wear these. The thing is, he has feet like a hobbit. Serious Fred Flitstones, ugh. We bought these because they came in a wide size. He has other size 8 shoes with a lot of room in the toe, so we figured 8W would be the ticket. When they arrived, they looked pretty narrow, sonwe checked the label, and 8W was shown. We tried and tried, but could not get thise wides into the shoes. The heels weren't even close. Sure seemed like these 6 narrow, not 8W. Sadly, we'll send them back and keep looking for shoes that will fit his u fortunately wide feet. ... show more

  • BIG BABY BIG FEET
Special Size: Little Kid (4-8 Years) Size: 6.5 Wide Little Kid Color: Navy
My grandson is just 1 year old and takes a 6.5 wide shoe. It has been hard to find as we could not take him into stores to try on before buying. He started walking at 9 months which is fine with no shoes. However, now he is really on the move and with wanting to "walk" he needed shoe for outside. He was a little hesitant at first but now use to the feel on his feet. His dad is a big foot 14 so I am guessing he will be too! LOL ... show more
