Use their website as a guide for application. Cutting it regularly is key. Keep it thin when you put it on and you won't see brush strokes or roller marks. It cured hard as nails and looks great. Easy product to use and restored the interior of my center console to a nice shine!

As a painter I could tolerate the fumes but If you’re not accustomed to smells of different paint substances… well, you’re in for something. Have sufficient ventilation. I have used this for dipping home made lures which have turned out phenomenal. Most recent I used it for a customers counter top where we updated their bar area. I cut it 25% with xylene to make it flow better. I used an epoxy roller(make sure to run the roller over tape before use to pull all the extra loose fibers off) and it went on smoothly. You do have to work fast with such a large area. Make sure everything is covered because you’ll regret it if you don’t. Prep included sanding the surface with 400 grit (was finished prior). Followed by cleaning the surface thoroughly to rid of all contaminations. Vacuum, tack cloth, wipe with damp non fiberous cloth, let dry. The bad: spraying this product is superior, fumes are intense so you need the equipment to use inside, not homeowner friendly, need xylene for clean up and dilution, you have one shot and if you mess up you’ll need to repeat the process. ... show more

This product is like molasses. I had to order the thinner after the fact. Straight out of the can it is NOT self leveling and brush marks are highly visible when using a foam brush. I could not find a definitive answer as to what thinner is appropriate for this product so I ended up ordering thinner from the mfg. ... show more

Picked this up and tried it out on some fishing lures I painted. I wanted to brush it on and I have to say, it went on pretty nice. I did end up dipping one directly into the KBS and noticed it wastes a lot of the KBS by dripping off over brushing. I also lost all texture to the lure as well. The smaller scale patterns on the lure were totally gone. I want to try to use it in a airbrush and was told to thin it by 30 percent using their number one thinner and using max pressure with my compressor. I have yet to try it that way but will soon. I did compare this to some Hobby Lobby clear resin I have and both, once dried, were near identical in finish. The resin did take much longer to dry at roughly two days where as the brushed on KBS took about a day. ... show more

This amazing stuff does what no other product can! It's so expensive, but I've tested others and only KBS Diamond holds up to what I need it for. I grouted my floor white and used this as a top coat to prevent flood and traffic/use-related damage in a basement unit (we had a flood and it destroyed my beautiful white grout almost immediately after we'd done it). It has kept my floors perfectly snow white. I mixed in xylene/xylol to thin it, Behr floor grip chips to prevent slipping, and titanium dioxide white powder to give a milky white glow. It went right over the tile easily. I applied it with an epoxy roller. I splashed some on the floor using a paint brush and pushed it into the grout joints, then smoothed it with the roller. I backed myself out of the room doing this. I used two coats and did not sand in between (one coat left uneven coverage). I will say that - strangely - the floors where I'd used a regular grout & tile clear coat (impregnator sealer) beforehand really retained the whitest color. The floors I'd never sealed have some mild staining from this product. I guess I should use 2 coats of impregnator sealer on my tiles first next time. I gave 5 stars because I have been using KBS for clear coat on lures for a couple years with no problems. Strong and tough after 2-3 coats. From salmon to walleyes to muskies only a few scratches and holds up amazingly. I have a picture of a lure that had probably got over 50 walleyes and yea it’s beat up but you can see it’s still holding! So I never had a problem opening the cans. This can you can see in one of the pictures the new can came out dirty/cloudy....immediately a flag went up. Since there’s no returns I poured it into my jar and it’s clear as day next to my old KBS vs brand new can. The lower jar is what’s left from my other can and it had always looked liked somewhat more clearer...So I dipped my lures and it bumped/ridged up like in chunks or how ever you want to describe that (picture of that).....not even a high gloss to it either. Not once have I had these issues! Clearly this is a bad can that probably sat around for a while but hey let’s ship it out and make our money. **I called amazon and explain the issue I was having. They sent me a replacement can of KBS. And this can has no issues.*** ... show more
