these worked well for hanging my 10 ft kayak up. i have used the pulley storage as well and these are far simpler. The pulley system is alot more complicated to install and leaves an obstacle to bang your head on if you have low ceilings.

    • Snap broke on 1 but not the other

I got two of these to hang two different kayaks. Easy to install, find a drill bit then just screw ends in and snap. I did run into a problem with first one. I had the kayak up and wanted to put paddle up. The one piece of the clip snapped :( I was disappointed. I then hung the second one and no issues but I did not put paddle on that one. They both are hanging but the one is not so secure. So I would suggest put paddle in first ... show more

One of the four straps I received has faulty buckles. I have to cinch the strap and then tie it off. I tried threading it every way I could think of, but still no luck. If they all worked, I would have given you a 5 star review.
