Designed for long term performance, these fishing pliers are ideal for both freshwater and harsh saltwater environments.
  • Tungsten Carbide Cutters Super hard tungsten carbide cutters slice though mono, fluorocarbon, or braid with ease. Side mounted anvil cutters for easy access, these cutters allow you to cut your tag end as close to the knot as you desire without any obstructions and the raised surface behind the blade ensures your line will always be in the cutting zone.
  • Multi-Function Jaws Grab and remove any fish hook with the serrated jaws or take advantage of the crimping slots to secure a split shot weight or build a steel leader. To cinch down a knot quickly and safely, insert your hook into one of the holes in the jaws and pull on your hook to create a tight knot. Available in both a straight nose and a Split ring nose design.

Description

Manufactured to perform in both freshwater and saltwater environments the KastKing Cutthroat 7” stainless-steel pliers will be a great addition to your fishing gear! Built with 420 stainless-steel these pliers are not only corrosion resistant, but they are also very durable. For extra protection we have also coated these pliers with a tough coating which creates a hard outer armor to protect against damage and corrosion. Tungsten carbide side cutters can easily cut mono, fluorocarbon, and braided lines. These anvil style cutter blades resist rust, and the side cutters allow you to cut close to knots. Designers have also incorporated a raised surface behind the blade to eliminate the problem of your line dropping below the cutting zone. Fine serrated jaws allow you to find the ideal grip for multiple wire diameters. Grooved slots near the back of the jaws are ideal for crimping sleeves for a leader or attaching split shot weights to fishing line. Available in both a straight nose and a split ring nose design. You will find the thin profile of the handle is both comfortable and easy to grip. The molded rubber handle and spring-loaded jaws make it easy to operate these pliers with just one hand and no more fumbling around looking for your pliers when you have a fish in the boat. These pliers are superb. They are precise feeling and have ZERO Play, while offering completely free movement. The line cutter cuts right through every kind of line, including braid easily which is fantastic. They are comfortable and compact and the fitted sheath is an added bonus as it clips onto any bag with ease thanks to the clip on the rear. The carabiner clip on the pliers is excellent quality and ensures you wont lose it. I keep mine clipped to one of the eyelets on my strap and the sheath clipped onto the bag. I haven't used them yet With that being said I got them for my 1 to 3 trips to the ocean . Next trip is going to be 2 weeks and I will update after the trip is over . They seem sturdy and for the price point they seem worth it just for the fact that they aren't flexible and don't have any play when moving the jaws side to side . The packaging is great They come with a holster for your belt loop and a carabiner with a bungee on it Carabiner is very cheaply made but these aren't bought for the carabiner . If you want a better one just change it out. I'm sure the one provided will get you by for a good while Update : they never touched saltwater Only used periodically to unhook fish and they are covered in rust ... would not recommend for saltwater use . ... show more

I've owned several different brands of fishing pliers made of aluminum and they all bent and twisted at any attempt to use them for anything more than light duty at best. I had better luck with the cheap needle nose pliers from the hardware store, even with the issues of rusting. So when these came available, I was excited to try them, and was not disappointed. These pliers are light, have a good grip and can actually get a buried hook out of a bass without twisting and being useless. The holster is not flimsy and holds the pliers firmly. I liked them so much in fact, that I bought a second pair so I'd have one of each, one with the split ring nose, and one without. If I could nit pick one thing that I would like to see is a way to lock the pliers closed if I choose to carry them without the included holster. But I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and might even buy additional pairs so I can keep one in each of my tackle bags. ... show more

This is a great, rugged plier that has a split ring tool (you can get with or without) and a nice line cutter. Really makes a difference in terms of not getting stuck when trying to get ahold of fish to take out hooks. I grab hook with these first and then get ahold of fish to work out the hooks. Line cutter is very good and well-located. The only thing I didn't like is that the holster has a belt clip that is placed in a spot where gravity wants to turn the pliers upside down and since it is on a swivel, that's what happens. I solved this problem with a zip tie around the swivel so the holster doesn't rotate anymore. The cord is also really nice so if you drop it by accident you don't have any risk of losing the pliers and also when you are holding the fish after getting out the hooks you can just drop the pliers and not worry about getting them in the holster. Not super cheap, but a really solid product and well worth the cost in my opinion. ... show more

Goodbye Rapala clippers! Hello KastKing! These pliers are awesome for anybody new or experienced in fishing. They make everything from removing hooks to cutting line a breeze. I do at least 75% of my fishing out of a kayak, so space is at a premium. The holster is a nice touch, and the clip rotates with preset locking points so it’s easy to clip onto a bag, belt, pocket, etc. I clipped my carabiner right to the eyelet in the holster so they can’t wander away also. THEY CUT BRAIDED LINE! Finally, I can throw my cheap Rapala toe-nail clippers in the junk drawer. I’m typically using 30-50 lb braid with a fleuro leader, and it’s been a nightmare trying to find something that cleanly cuts the braided line. They feel well-made and very sturdy in the hand. I seriously doubt that I’ll be needing any replacements or repairs, but if they do, KastKing has an awesome warranty on all of their products. I will definitely buy from them again! ... show more
