These are a nice, lightweight fabric that will keep you warm without adding too much bulk. Definitely not meant for the absolute coldest days if they are your only base layer but probably fine for most situations. Sizing: I am 5'4"/125 pounds but with curvy hips/butt and normally wear a 4 in pants. Amazon recommended I order a size small, which fit my hips and legs well but were tight in the waist IMO. So order up if you're debating between sizes. They sit right under the belly button, personally I prefer a lower rise but that's nearly impossible to find these days. Okay for thin base layer; was much thinner than expected but okay if you have good quality snow pants. Likely will not wear as leggings but will use for thin base layer or pajamas. Fit was smaller than expected, ordered size up.

    • Cute but SHEER
I bought these because I thought it was a base layer for winter. Ended up keeping them..they’re cute, but they don’t ‘suck you in’ and are very sheer. Don’t bend over in the pants..wear a long shirt, etc. they’re cute and quality with anything Kari Traa seems to be on point.

I love this brand for its cute patterns for winter clothing. The fabric in this wasn’t thick like others i’ve used so I returned. The waist band in this wasn’t soft, but like boxer waistband. Fit for my size xl had gaps high hip point, not my favorite this time.

    • The perfect base layer!
I recently realized my old base layer is from my teen years and after having kids they just don’t fit. Finding bottoms that fit well and stay in place has seemed impossible with these wider hips and thicker thighs but these pants are amazing! Comfortable, fit well especially with all the movement one does on the mountain (skiing, snowboarding, sledding) I’m so happy I got these and highly recommend them. For some reference I’m 5’8” and about 160lbs, these have great length and stretch and they fit seamlessly under other pants(even for wearing layers on cold days around town). ... show more
