I am happy that I picked this up as it gives me some peace of mind when climbing into the tree stand. A safety harness should always be worn as the consequences of falling are too great. I picked up a cheap Muddy harness and this rope, and I surely think it was worth the cost to lower my risk of falling and getting paralyzed. I cannot stress enough how these ropes are a huge safety benefit. Being able to clip yourself in for your climb up the tree is a huge benefit. The prusik works great. Locks in when it's supposed to and slides with ease when it's needed. It's a great safety aid to have and I can't stress how much ease of mind it adds. The rope itself is very strong and holds my weight easily. It's reflective so it's easy to spot in pre-dawn conditions. A flashlight on it makes it impossible to miss. The carabiner clip works great. It has a screw lock on it so it won't possibly slip and disconnect. I would like to see the rope rated for a bit more weight, but it's well within most people's range that are going to be climbing into a tree on a regular basis. ... show more

I didn't know that I'd trust it for fall prevention/arrest, however as an ascension line I think it'll be alright. It looks good, but there's no elasticity that would aid in slowing down a fall enough to not seriously damage yourself. I'd only recommend this for the above... Anyone who hunts from a tree stand MUST use a safety rope! There are no exceptions! Too many hunters are injured or killed from falling out of a tree climbing up or down the tree. This is not an optional item for tree stand hunters, it is a must have.

I have been hunting for over 40 years and I would recommend this safety line. This line is easy to setup and use. If you are unfamiliar with this type of safety harness the manufacturer provides a well written set of instructions with pictures to ensure proper use. Pros: - Carabiners are are strong and easy to open close and secure - the rope is strong and durable (note also quiet when climbing) some safety harness ropes are stiff and cause noise when they hit the metal stands, this one does not. - the Prusik knot is tied properly and the vendor provided enough length to make snap a carabiner in easy with gloves - Instruction manual is well written with properly shown images - carrying bag with mesh panel to store safety line in off season or for easy carry to stand Cons: - None ... show more

This appears to be a decent safety line. The reflective prussic knot is a nice touch. I’m not sure if the disclaimer that says it’s only good for 3 years is an attorney driven, CYA type thing to shield the company from liability, but I don’t leave them out year round, so they are only exposed to the elements for 3-4 months at a time. This is a product that I own and use that fits into the category of seat belts, fire extinguishers and home owners insurance. I hope I never have to use any of them, but you can be sure I’ll always have them! The price is in line with other safety lines on the market. Time will tell whether it holds up. ... show more

Nice well put together climbing safety rope, 30ft long 10mm rope and a heavy duty carabiner to help protect you from a fall, even has reflective properties in the rope to aid in locating your stand in the dark. You should feel secure hooking up to this product.
