  • EXCELLENT purchase
I ordered 2 of the 10x15 size. I wish I could order more. These work perfect for my rtt. 1 will give me a full rain shelter for my ladder and the back of the truck. The 3rd time using the tarp I noticed some seepage around the corner seams where there was a lot of tension (not this camp mission in the picture). I will use some seam sealer and resolve that and any future issues. I love the heavy duty reinforcement on the outer tie points. I haven't had to use the center ones. As my use doesn't need to. The grey color is a perfect match to my rtt. So far it's waterproofing has worked well. I can retreat as the need arises. The overall light weight factor has proven to be useful as I can keep one of these in the truck at all times. They dry quickly. I really do wish I could get a couple more of these. ... show more

  • Great Value - As Described
I purchased the 10x15 size in coffee in late November 2021. The tarp was set up in a tipi style and left standing for 5 weeks without taking it down. It rained 4-6 times with some rains lasting over 6 hours and a sleet and wet snow of 3”. It never leaked, did not blow over, never collapsed, never tore or lost any guy line points. This tarp is of reasonable quality, fit and finish for the price. It is actually a good value for the money spent. I believe with reasonable care it would last at minimum several seasons. Any tarp will fail under adverse conditions and rough handling. I also own a Kelty 12 and I can say it does not match the materials, fit and finish but it’s 2-3 times less in cost. With any product or service in life you usually get what you pay for. I would buy this tarp again without hesitation. ... show more

  • Best tarp for the price
I want to start off by saying that this is a piece of nylon so anyone expecting this to outlast a tarp of any other material should probably reconsider how they think about life. That being said for a nylon tarp this seems to be extremely tough it went well through 10 mph winds and has tie outs at very convenient spots. It can be used in multiple settings and for multiple purposes. my only gripe would be that since it is a nylon tarp most people that will be making a tarp tent will find that it is extremely scary knowing that there is no type of reinforcement at the center grommet to relieve wear and tear if you put a stick inside of that part of the tent even though it is nylon I feel like that could have been done for the same price. As far as packability for a 10x10 tarp it's extremely small and extremely lightweight and you would be missing out on a great tarp if you chose not to purchase this one for hiking. ... show more

  • Flexible, Packable, Practical
This polyester tarp is cost effective. Packs better than the standard poly types you see at the big box stores, and is not as noisy. Has a a lot of tieouts, includes a # of basic aluminum stakes, and longer guy lines. I used primary for a week in the mountains at a cabin as sun sail and it did the trick. Later, in the week rain came and we moved to another area around the cabin to protect from the weather. (The cabin is not large enough for everyone so some sleep outside on the deck and watch stars). Tarp did not leak. (note... personally I enjoyed messing around with it to see how we could use... rain shield, sun shield, ground tarp, wind screen etc ... show more

  • Great tarp in all respects
I decided to invest in a nice large camping tarp for a recent BWCA trip. Usually I had used a medium duty poly tarp from Menards, but decided to get something better to reduce weight and have more functional loops and tie-down spots. This tarp fit the bill. Not ultra lightweight, but definitely better than its poly-tarp equivalent. Setup was a breeze with the loops down the center seam. We had a storm with heavy rain come up on us rather suddenly, and I was able to deploy this tarp quite rapidly. 8 of us huddled under it for an hour or so, and it worked great. It dried quickly and was packed away again easily. The 10x15 size was perfect for our needs. ... show more

  • Great waterproof fabric
I have a very large outdoor sofa and there is no cover that is made on the market that fits it currently so I use this to cover the cushions when we’re not using it. So this is exposed to the elements from spring to early fall. By the end of the season It completely deteriorates however it does a great job of keeping water off of the cushions. It dries very quickly and what is most important to me is that it is light weight so it is not that thick Tarpey material that is hard to get on and off. I would love it If these were more durable however I don’t think this product is being sold to last year’s in the elements. We can pretty much get a two seasons worth out of it before we have to toss it and buy a new one next spring. ... show more

  • Great tarp, bad stakes
Stakes are too soft and too short for any sort of tension. I used trampoline anchors for the corners and that was perfect. Held up to light wind and moderate rain without issue. I don't have any doubt about it being able to take a real storm if it needed too.

  • Decent lightweight waterproof tarp
We purchased this nylon tarp as a waterproof cover for a portion of our deck. We originally tried "sunsails" but very quickly appreciated that they had no water resistance. We were looking for: 1. waterproof, 2 size, 3. lightweight. This tarp met all three of our criteria but we only gave it 4 1/2 stars due to an unforeseen issue. It stretches! The tarp is set as a sloped sheet away from the house eaves with 4 spring loaded corners. With this design it has easily withstood 30mph sustained wind gusts. However, we observed that it collects and holds water on the downside half of the tarp during and after rainstorms. That weight causes the nylon to stretch on that side. As time has passed the amount of water held by the tarp has incrementally increased as the deformation of that portion of the tarp toward the deck surface has become quite noticeable. We can reorient the tarp and use the other half but it will also eventually stretch and at some point soon we'll need to replace it. But with what? I believe that this problem would not be likely to occur so long as water did not pool on the tarp. ... show more
