not washed or used these but could someone not put the plastic connecter to hold towels together cause when you snip that plastic off the towels it leaves a small pin hole in the item ( each towel has that pin hole ),it was on each towel

    • UPDATE AFTER WASHING A FEW TIMES

UPDATE a having for a few weeks: After having washed these 2 to 3 times in the washer they are now substantially more absorbent than they were before going through a few wash cycles. I say substantial because they absorbed almost nothing to begin with. So it is a substantial difference in my eyes. I updated from one star to three stars because they are much better after washing a few times however they are still not super absorbent. But they are what you would expect from a very thin bar style type towel. At least they will clean up spills and dry my hands now! I like that you get so many with the purchase and I like that they have a hook to hang them up with. Worth buying, but remember they are thin so they can only absorb so much liquid. Original review: I washed these right away and they shrink a lot but I still had high hopes for them because they are a very cute style. However the first time I went to use them I was so disappointed. I first used them to dry my hands which they did not do. A paper towel worked 10 times better. Then I used them to wipe up some water and again they have zero absorbency. So if you like them because they are cute and want to use them for decor they will work but if you plan on actually using them don’t do it. I thought I might just keep them hanging somewhere in my kitchen because I like the style but after having them there a few days it seemed so silly because they are useless. ... show more

The colors do not match the teal that I ordered. They are blue. Once washed they all shrunk up and winkled, you would almost have to iron them to get the wrinkles out.

Great simple bread towels. I wouldn't use these for normal kitchen towels but they are perfect for lining bread bannetons, covering rising bread, etc. Absorbency and softness gets better with a few washes but needs a little more gentle treatment. If you are looking for a classic bread cloth, this is it. I ordered teal and am happy with it, though it reads as more of a cornflower blue to me. ... show more
