Unboxing was the first joyful moment, it looked like something from a James Bond movie. I’m going to keep the packaging and maybe make a carry case from it. Despite the low reviews on this product it is made with quality in mind. The tripod design of this stand makes it lightweight, portable, and sturdy. Additionally, the included vesa mount and screws are a good plus as most portable monitors lack both. This stand is intended for use with a portable monitor to place above and behind a laptop monitor when traveling and space is limited. The portable monitor has a cover that doubles as a stand but it takes too much space. There are 2 issues that prevent this from the intended purpose: - the stand doesn't extend very much, not enough to use the monitor unless the legs are as the highest position, which won't support the monitor - the extension is very difficult to operate. It gets stuck and is very hard to adjust. I could use as a camera stand and for this it works much better. But for my intended purpose, it's almost good enough. ... show more

Bought this for my asus extended laptop screen; it’s fantastic. Very stable and adjustable for what it’s worth. I usually go by reviews to determine buying something, but this was worth it from the design alone. I would definitely buy this again because the other options don’t look as good.

I've only had this for a few hours, but the build quality is great, the adjustability is just what I wanted, and everything is good solid metal. I expect this to hold up well. First impressions are good for sure.

I am a photographer and videographer, so have a semi large collection and wide variety of stands like this. This is definitely one of the smartest designed, feature rich, and well made at the price point. I'm not sure how often I will use the portable monitor adapter part, but it recently came up as something that would have really been useful on a trip...so when I saw this I jumped for it. So glad I did. Stuff like this generally targeted at photographers will be plastic in order to be lightweight...but I prefer rugged, and metal...and this in no way feels like it adds too much weight to my go-bag. I love these for lights, my primary use...but have also used them to hold something as heavy as my mirrorless with a decent lens...and they do just fine. But this one should be even better, with the feet adjusting for an even wider footprint. I wish more did that. It's very stable...as long as the construction holds up...it is a little more complicated engineering than I tend to see...this should be amazing, and I just pulled out a plastic one from my bag to replace with this one. Even the iPhone attachment thing...which is the one piece of plastic in this kit...is a really good design that is really adaptable. Definitely like this one and would get it again...if for no other reason than the all metal construction and smart design. ... show more
