My Bella enjoys car rides now! She didn't for years. My other dog did, but when they were in the car together it was so stressful. I didn't take them nearly as many places I would have liked to. My little man passed last July. Bella hadn't known home without him. She had awful separation anxiety when I initially got her. She calmed down pretty quickly, but she always had him. Without him, we were both depressed. I hated leaving her home alone, so she started coming on errands with me. In my truck she sat on the huge armrest that folded down beside me. She was comfortable and had a great view. My old car was all scratched up from the two dogs over 10 years. Again, they were comfortable enough and the damage was already done. My truck would no longer pass inspection, so I had to buy a new car. Bella and her brother always tried to stand on the seat with their paws on the dash. Thus, the scratches. Also scratches on the door from doing the same. On the little console beside me etc. I couldn't figure out how to have her ride with me but not damage my car. I started thinking, "if only there was a raised seat that I could put in the car for her." I was considering making something. Then, I figured I couldn't be the only one with these issues. So, I started googling and found an entire product line. Who knew? Probably everyone but me. Bells has a bit of a weight issue, so I needed her seat to be roomy. I had purchased a different one and it was all around awful. This was my second purchase and we both love it! Yes, it takes up the entire passenger seat. That's completely ok! I was happy it fits up front. The pictures of the large one all showed it in the back. The seat is held in with the seat belt. She can sit comfortably, while being able to see out the side window. It would be awesome if it was raised more because she still can't easily see out the windshield. However, she's a smaller breed. A german shepherd definitely wouldn't want it raised any higher. Bella is an old lady, so she doesn't try to get out of this seat often. It has saved my car. It has relieved her anxiety about car rides. She loves them now. Now that she is used to it, I need to start putting her harness on and buckling her in. After 10 years of riding untethered I didn't want to freak her out. Now, I can relax knowing she is comfortable, safe and happy. ... show more

Okay guys...hear me out... If you're thinking to yourself, "Hmm, this is kind of a neat idea, but do I really need this? Does my dog really NEED this?", the answer is YES, YES, YES!!!!! I was looking for a booster kinda seat for our morkie, Tater, and I stumbled upon this during Prime Days and the large size was the one marked down, and interestingly enough was cheaper than the small size. I was a little concerned about the size of it because our dog is only about 12 pounds and the seat is large enough for at least 2 of him. But, I CANNOT pass up a good deal. We were looking for something that wouldn't lose it's shape - CHECK, something that didn't have a bunch of sherpa crap on it because we live in TX and I think we all know it's hotter than hell here most of the year - CHECK, something that would raise him up enough he could see out the window - CHECK, and something that was cute and safe (preferably with a harness lead) - CHECK!!! I couldn't believe how impressed I was with this carseat and how easily he would take to sitting in it. Now, I will say, that our dog Tater is an extraordinary dog!! No, I'm not biased at all (LOL), but this dog has a backpack that he will most excitedly go jump into on his own if he thinks he's going to get to go bye bye! And that required nearly ZERO training on our part. So he took to the carseat very easily. I love that this car seat has an area for the seatbelt pass-through just like a child's car seat. This carseat has a removable cover for cleaning, which was also important to us. We have this carseat installed in my Mercedes C300 4Matic. We have it in the back seat, and with this one being the large size, it does take up an entire seat, and maybe a tiny bit extra...but that's okay with me and with Tater!!! Tater loves this seat, he gladly jumps out of his backpack and into his seat when we're ready to go somewhere so we can just set the backpack to the side for when we've arrived at our destination. I would recommend this to ANYONE with a dog they travel with often. This seat may be pricier than a lot of others on here, but I can ASSURE you, it's worth EVERY penny!!! ... show more

This is a greatly designed product!, my wife and I have a 12kg Frenchie, she fits in it perfectly, she can even sleep on it without any trouble on long trips. One great feature of it is that is very easy to install and unistall, so we can move it easily between our two cars, depending on which one we are using. Also there is security for the pet build in, if you look to Matildas chest on the photos, there is a security leash attached to her dog harness, that "saved" her on various hard braking situations in traffic. About it's durability, I can say that is build on good quality materials, so even when out dog is exited, she could not break it in any way. Finally, as a side effect, all her hair stays on her Car Seat so we end up taking her with us more often because dirt and hair in the car is a non-issue. ... show more

I bought this for my two dachshunds to share. (25lbs and 12lbs) They both fit it with room to spare but I definitely underestimated how much of brat they both are! So I bought a 2nd one to keep the peace. 10/10 I can finally sit peacefully without two wieners wrestling in the back seat or crying to be in the front. I like that it’s very sturdy, and it actually that straps into the seat! My only complaint is the built in leash isn’t mounted too securely ( just fabric on fabric) so what I did was extend them both out all the way, connect the two together and clip one end through the bottom of the seat to the car seat mounts/hooks built into the car, and the other end to a harness. With that little work around this product is perfect for my needs. ... show more
