  • Outstanding Value & Great Performance
I bought this charger and two-battery combination for my Sony Alpha A1. It is one of those rare products that exceeded my expectations. I am an experienced wildlife photographer who travels internationally. 1) It charged the two NP-FZ100-compatible batteries from their state-upon-delivery to full charge in about an hour, powered by my 9v/3A USB-C charger. This is Sony's recommended charger rating for charging the NP-FZ100 when it's inside the camera. The charging case does NOT include a USB charger...you'll have to provide your own. 2) Contrary to some other comments, there IS an indication when the batteries are fully charged. There is a solid red LED for each battery when charging, and a solid green LED when charged. 3) The batteries work flawlessly in my A1. There are no compatibility warnings and no startup delays or hiccups. (My current firmware is v1.20). 4) The construction and appearance is fine in my opinion. No, it's not a "luxury product," but it's certainly not an embarrassment and it's rugged enough for my travel and use in the field. 5) The SD card storage is for, uh, SD cards. I use CF Express Type A cards, and I can fit two of them in the storage compartment, however. I would buy this again, and would recommend it to other Sony photographers. ... show more

  • Two-year, heavy use review
Reliability is everything in client work, and this product just WORKS. After a year and then some of (almost) daily use powering an A6700 in nature and small-events professional work, these batteries have performed like champs, have never power-fluctuated while in use (which causes the camera to go crazy and overheat, something that happens with my A6000’s NP50 batteries when I let the NP50’s get below thirty percent), even when I use these batteries down to twenty five percent. However, keep in mind that the average shoot on these batteries is three hours, and, starting from a freshly-charged battery at 100 percent, I will usually still have 50 or 60 percent left by the end of the shoot, so I usually have lots more left in them when I get back home and recharge them again for the next day. The charger is the batteries’ carrying case, and the whole unit can double as a USBC power bank; although, I myself would never risk uncharging my camera batteries just to charge up a phone unless I absolutely had to. But it’s nice to know you can. What more could you ask for? HUGE five-stars. ... show more

  • Great charger and batteries.
It's great and has a few nice features. I wish the material of the charger shell was maybe a bit better. A metal lid could have been nice.

  • Works as advertised
Everything works as advertised my only issue, while the case works as a battery bank, it doesn't use the power in the battery bank to charge the batteries. Only devices plugged in. I feel like that is a weird missed opportunity.

  • Took it on a cross country road trip and . . .
Well to start off, I am sort of an amateur pro photographer (meaning that I do paid gigs sometimes but mostly shoot for the passion). I also hate to carry a lot of weight especially when traveling where most of my photography takes place. The only thing lacking in this product is a solar panel to charge the batteries. However to have a extra SD card storage and 2 batteries plus the capability to charge my phone in a pinch is fantastic. Consolidated more space in my small camera bag that I now use with my new Sony A7C. Batteries provided worked great and charging my phone worked great. SD storage place is a little tight and hard to handle if you have long nails but that wasn't a problem because I had a huge SD in the camera so I didn't need my extra. The materials does feel like a cheap plastic so I'm thinking it can't be tossed around or dropped a lot (shouldn't be using batteries for hockey pucks anyhow - jk). Overall a well thought out product. Will update if there is any change in it's quality. ... show more

  • Works well
DB-FZ100 the mechanical - looks well built; cover fits/closes well - batteries are held snug; required some force to "snap"/"unsnap"them in place; if battery surface is not parallel to case surface (that's where the force is needed), they're not in place and the charge light will not come on - card holder locks in place well; no instructions on how this locks so I was afraid i was going to crack something by pushing/pulling on parts; I found it easiest to pry (still somewhat difficult with larger fingers; I'm 5'5" with average hands) next to the card holder to flip the card holder; cards are held snug the electrical - there is no internal battery to the case and I didn't expect one - the camera batteries supply power to be used as a power pack - the USB-C port is input only; used to charge the camera batteries within the pack; you cannot use this port to charge another device (plugging my Samsung, usb-c to usb-c, actually drains my phone to charge the camera batteries) - the micro USB port is input only; used to charge the camera batteries; you cannot use this port to charge another device - the USB-A is the only output port when this unit is used as a power pack; (It cannot fast charge or super-fast charge my Samsug phone using my own cable); - only a USB-A to USB micro cable is supplied; use this to charge the camera batteries in the pack; no adapter/charger is included Overall The worst of this product: no instructions whatsoever. No explanation of what to expect with the charge/discharge lights (lights are red when charging, green when fully charged; blue lights when discharging). Owned for 6 months now: they seem to stay in my camera for as long as the original Sony battery before swap out. I bought this for the batteries and charger. The power pack usage is a bonus which I don't intend to use unless an emergency arises. I use a small camera case, and the charger size could be reduced if a cover wasn't incorporated (just a tad larger than I would like). Would definitely buy again ... show more
