The system is easy to install in multiple configurations. Hardware is sturdy. The tube supports are large and well made. The tubes are thick and sturdy and can be adjusted to different heights. The only issue is if you want to add trailer brake lights to the tubes. Most brake light kits only fit standard 2” tubes and these are lightly larger tubes. A standard two inch tube does not fit on the supports. If this is not a problem then this is a great product. You can always slap on reflective stickers if you want the extra visibility when trailering. ... show more

    • Set up perfectly on the trailer of my 1994 Bayliner Capri.
I put these on as close as I could get to the boat. Took it to the ocean and launched and loaded the boat 6 different times. The guides helped so we did not have to hold ropes as I pulled the boat up the ramp...perfect guides. The instructions did say to put a small amount of glue on the cap. Drove the boat/trailer over 2500 miles in the last 2 months and they are solid. I may cut another slot for the higher position for the guide on the other side of the pipe but not dead set on doing that yet. ... show more

Used this guide on kit when I rebuilt my boat trailer. It worked great and the price was right! Seems well-built. Will need to keep corrosion protection applied to avoid corrosion as my boat is used in saltwater and the hardware is not stainless steel and the guide support is galvanized steel. I would have paid double for a stainless steel option, but this will do! ... show more

    • Works great after a significant modification
Not all trailers are alike, so my review is with using a basic Trailstar bass boat trailer. The item arrived fine and the pieces are sturdy and pretty straight forward instructions. The problem is, our trailer has a V shape supports underneath so the installation of this onto our trailer allowed for the L metal piece to only go in half-way into the mounting bracket. Even though we cranked it down, after some bounces on the road we had to pull over and pickup the part off the road twice. The fix is an easy one and quite honestly, I feel should have been manufactured this way. We drilled a hole and inserted a bolt through the mounting bracket and the L shape metal so that the L shape cannot come out of the bracket. Since this modification, no issues and it works exactly as expected. ... show more
