Distressed for an instantly traveled look, this cowboy looks like it's been on the trail with you for years right out of the box. The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making and launched his own company, Justin Boots. Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboy.

  • Great Boots
These boots are fantastic. The soles could use some grip on them but overall great

  • Finally figured out what size boots fit my feet.
Size: 10 Color: Chocolate Burnished Calf/Ivory Plush
This is my second pair of western style boots. The first pair, I bought several years ago and could never get them to fit properly. In shoes and hiking boots, I normally wear size 10-1/2 or 11. I have finally found that pull on style boots fit differently and that the boot size shouldn't be your first indication of what necessarily fits your foot. It helps to find a store where the stock is out on the floor so you are free to try on several different sizes until you find one that fits. Even better, but harder to find these days, would be a good shoe store with a salesperson that actually knows their product and will take the time to "fit" you with the proper size. I opted for the big box store and watching the boot fit video on the Justin Boot website. Once you learn how the boot is supposed to fit upon first putting a pair on, you can get a good idea of your proper size. For me, a size 10 D was perfect. Hence the reason I posted the fit as running somewhat large. I'm conflicted by this but hope it will help people who, like me, were in the mindset that size 11 boots should fit. Now on to the boot itself, these boots are made in the USA which is a plus. The workmanship is excellent for a boot in this price range and I don't feel that they need any real break in. The leather isn't super thick, but I don't expect any western boots to be thick like my hiking boots, you wouldn't be able to walk in them. Like my favorite hiking boots and most quality western boots, these can be resoled. I like the fact that if taken care of, these can last beyond most other modern footwear. The vamp color is a little lighter than what my computer monitor rendered, more of a light toffee color but I imagine it could be darkened by applying saddle soap or an oil. Regardless, I am happy with the color. My wife and kids did give me some ribbing on the color and loud stitching on the shaft, but they stay hidden under my jeans anyway. All in all, a very nice American made boot for the money and I like them enough that I will probably buy another pair in a different color, especially, now that I know what fits. ... show more

  • Great pair of boots for a good price
I bought these boots a little over a year ago now, and to this day I still love them. I bought them on sale but even at normal list price they are a great pair of boots to save a little money on. If you want a pair of boots to wear to work, class, or just out and about doing every day things, then these are the boots for you. These boots are leather bottoms, which in itself has some pros and cons. Pros can be the fact the leather forms better to your foot, it is a more tradition style of boot and they make a great boot to go dancing in. A con, in the winter walking on ice is almost a death wish because you will get no traction. Because they are leather bottoms you will eventually walk through the sole and will have to have it replaced. Personally I think these boots are great, its has been over a year and I haven’t had to get the sole replaced yet which is a good sign the Justin used a good quality leather. I have pretty wide feet so finding a pair of boots that fit and don’t squeeze my foot is key to me. I went around to a few western stores and tried on a few dozen pairs of boots trying to find the right pair. I found that how Justin cuts the sole is almost perfect for my large foot. This was my first pair of leather bottom boots and I couldn’t be happier. I didn’t want to break the bank on a super nice fancy pair of dress boots, so the Justin Bent Rail Square Toe Boot was perfect for me. I covered all the aspects of a good boot for a decent price. Good leather, easy to keep clean, comfortable in the arch and width and personally they make a great dancing boot. To all the fellas out there, learn how to dance, the lady’s love it and these boots will be your best friend out on the dance floor. ... show more

  • 'Beautiful Boots'
Size: 9.5 Color: Cognac Ponteggio/Green Cow
I really loved the look of these boots, but I took one star off because although the quality and construction was spot on, when trying them on and looking down at them, or even placing them side by side, I noticed that the right boot was noticeably wider in the toe box than the left, looking as if it was a whole half size bigger. They fit fine and I was going to keep them, especially as my right foot is a tad bigger than my left. Some may not have been put off by it, but the more I looked at them the more it bothered me so I ended up returning them. I instead ordered Justin's BR735, a similar boot I was torn about ordering. They arrived promptly and are perfect in every way. Their coloring in person and overall look is even much more to my liking and they look awesome with jeans. ... show more

  • Great Leather soled boots
Really nice boots. I had no issues with leather quality. THey are very comfortable, and actually prefer the leather bottoms with no inserts to the rubber soled boots with inserts that wear out and leave your foot hurting. My only complaint is that the heel wore out, and there's a little sheet of plastic between the rubber and the leather. Kind of a wear-protector, I guess. Anyway, it seemed it didn't take very long to wear thru the leather AND the plastic. I have had the heels only re-soled, and now I'm starting to wear thru the second heel. I didn't take off a star, because I think it must just be me dragging my feet, not a product issue. Super comfortable boots, and they stay looking really nice too. Leather bottoms aren't as bad as you'd think on ice, either! Edit 2 years later: I've had the heels re-soled once, and they are worn out again, along with the leather; I've got a couple holes through the bottom layer by the pads of my feet. I'm debating if I should have them re-soled for $70 or just buy a new pair. Hope this gives you an idea of the longevity. I'm still really pleased with them - very comfortable, and you can't expect a boot to not wear out. I wear these almost daily all day. ... show more
