Both my dogs started to get allergy symptoms from dry dog food. I was a little apprehensive about wet dog food but once they tried Just Food For Dogs they look forward to their meals. I see an improvement with their weight and alertness. The product comes frozen and it’s easy to prepare once it’s defrosted in the fridge. It’s good quality and I portion out their meals with some kibble. A good value considering it’s healthy food with real chicken, rice and vegetables. It’s like made without any seasonings because there isn’t a smell to it. Good portion for the box will be ordering the next box to try out another flavor. ... show more

    • Dog got very ill
Flavor Name: Venison & Squash Size: 18 Oz (Pack of 7)
I gave this food as suggested replacing two tablespoons of food per every four days. This has been the only change in feeding for my dog. At 2:30 am on the 7th day of my Dog eating this food she started to vomit. By 9 am after vomiting again I took her to an emergency veterinary appt. She had 3 imagines X-rays, bloodwork for everything from parasites to other pathogens. Her intestines were so inflamed and we are on day 6 and she has been to the veterinary two times to get relief. She is currently on anti nausea drugs, a liquid probiotic, pills for reflux and on a prescription dog food after eating four day of boiled chicken breast and rice. The discomfort this has caused my dog is immense. She had five days of mucus in her poop and finally today has just soft poop. This has cost me over $2,400 since her appts were emergencies. It makes me so angry that when I read reviews they were mostly how wonderful this food is for their pet. When I told the vet we only changed one thing he said it is the venison and you need to warn others. Hopefully this review is one of the first people see. I now have read several other reviews and feel so foolish that I put my dog in such a horrible health crisis! Never again will I purchase a “healthy” dog food. Make your own and stick with whatever your veterinary doctor recommends. ... show more

My dog absolutely loves this product! She used to have problems with dry foods, but now she is eating well with no more skin issues. This real food is the best for our pet. I highly recommend it.
